That injury and band aid is looking too insignificant. Instead, they could have had a much bigger accident where he loses his bacha kucha dimaag and only utters one word - 'Anu'

Then Shruti is forced to find who this Anu is and eventually reunite them. However, he still doesn't recover even after they meet and eventually she takes him Bek to Shah Palace so that he is well cared for (as a slave)
