The thing is, Armaan has some kind of unrealistic expectations from marriage. Not only that, he has some kind of idealistic notion about love and Ruhi fits the bill. That's why he thought he loves Ruhi. In reality, he was in love with the idea of love. Armaan maybe is mature when it comes to duniyadari, Abhira has better emotional maturity. Armaan only saw twisted relationship in his life, whereas Abhira grew up listening to the stories of her parents' relationship.
Deep connection and understanding between couples doesn't happen in a single day. It happens over time, and efforts. He will realize that soon. He will realize love and relationship comes in all shapes and sizes. One size doesn't fit all. Couple dynamics can be different and that doesn't mean it's imperfect.
