That’s a BIG flaw in a story. When you’re giving scraps of a love story in the middle of literally SO much else going on. The focus on MJ and Zaid is seriously lacking. I can’t even speak on the chemistry even a little bit because where are their big moments? Where is their story ? Is the writer kidding us by throwing this tiny bone of their backstory 26 episodes in? I literally don’t even care anymore. Let this end already.

I feel this might even do an even bigger disservice to the story - because by showing Zaid had a crush on MJ in the past - the writing and direction will just get another excuse to be lazy about their story. We were being robbed of showing key turning points in their story and now by saying oh zaid had a crush on her, it will be easy for the audience to just *accept* their changed relationship.

No. It doesn’t work like that. Give us proper scenes. Show us those key moments. Make us invest. TRY at the very least.

Many times I have said Ayra is just a love story he designed to get over MJ ...that's how robotic it was. 🤭

Past few episodes have been rubbish.

Key points are still there.

What made him hate her? She was a story he was trying to forget and they forced it on him,over the love story he had designed. He was not going to walk that path again.

What made him change? He watched her keenly, threw situations at her and saw she was adapting and he had to appreciate that.

Through all this, he was keeping his end of the promise to Ayra - though I call it robotic, he was hundred percent invested in it.

What made him confess? It was becoming impossible to hide the happiness he felt in her presence...if she learnt to adjust for him, he learned to forgive her and be fair to her at least...

He confessed he's scared to let go of his guard...

What will heal that part of it?

If a story had to drag me back to IF after ages like another one I was invested in so long back...the concept and core writing of Mein is very distinct from TB or MPHT...minus all the crap they are showing now, if they had focused on the love story...and probably needed to be more vocal about it than confuse with Ayra ..see even I'm confused every other minute if they will make Ayra end game - that amount of twisting certainly distracts from the love story...it's a lesson the writer has to learn.

This miserable Ayra track to end for good . It’s a joke that the actual leads have been reduced to worse than supporting acts in their own show. Zaid having feelings for MJ in the past also explains why he was so cold and mean towards her after the marriage.

Actually it was a sincere thing from his side. MJ was done and dusted as far as he was concerned and then they forced her on him,forcing him to look at his feelings again.

That 'they' includes Ayra too ..she forced this dual wife situation on him.

No, you are not alone. His eyes held a longing. Infact, there are so many instances he looked at her with the same expression, even though during many of those it was there for couple seconds, then he sort of shake off quickly masking. This time, he let it shown- unguarded. I think he wanted to let her know or remind her of whatever happened between them. If I remember correctly, Mubashira's first reaction when her father put forward Zaid's name as a potential groom for her was "Dad, I have not think of Zaid in that way" - or something similar. I hope they at least give us the back story 😔

Even with the backstory adding a layer to Zaid, this drama has failed in the execution of it. It would have added such richness to the romantic angle and they’re throwing this at us now? 26 episodes in? It’s a disservice to the story and the potential already lost. Can you imagine the monologues and angst and scenes they could have had between zaid and MJ all this time ? It could have been SO cool.

it really did come out of the left field for the majority of the audience. That’s a fact. Because they made it a *point* to show how much Zaid hated MJ, her attitude and her aggression. They had him recount it multiple times. So to throw *past feelings* in the mix now of all times is frankly, ridiculous story telling. For me it’s just another thing to add to the potential this story could have had but it was lost, all to throw in this twist for the sake of *shock value* - that’s the point, wasn’t it? For him to say this to her and then just walk out? Create that element of mystery ? But too little, too late. And throwing that crucial point in an episode where SO much crazy stuff is happening? It’s just bad bad execution.

This story is probably so much better inside our heads than what’s actually shown and how 🤦🏻‍♀️

Don't forget Wahaj gets paid for the number of words he speaks in an episode. 🤭 He will stand there as a prop the whole episode, get cut off in some scenes...all that is muft. 🤣 Each word he utters on the screen costs them lakhs.

Ayra is pretty much toast. Next week I’m predicting she will be killed off. You can’t play with fire like that, and not get burned. Asif will be provoked enough to get rid of her. Rest of the drama will focus on bringing the wrong doers to justice. And in the middle somewhere will be the scraps of love story that are Zaid and MJ. Dealing with the after shocks of Ayra vs Asif and ending up together. I think it can go on till 35 episodes. But sometimes a lot can happen in a single episode too so… idk

You know what. It just striked me that his behaviour makes so much sense. I mean we got the part where he was against her. But suddenly, immediately after his marriage with Ayra, on the same day he softened towards Mubashira. He thanked her in the car. When she said promise you won't divorce, his expression softened, goes to her room after she moves to another room & thanks for that, when she says "anything for you" some day, he stares and gives a very different and weird look (can say soft look as well), during Valima night when she says I love him publicly he is taken aback. Goes to the pool to talk to her, follows her to that sitting area in the garden. Now it all makes sense why he softened towards her over little things. It was 360° turn you know.. It was because he already liked her in the past and slightest gesture from her softened him and his soya hua love resurfaced. I hope I am making sense
