On that topic I have a genuine question, do rich families in any part of the country follow these type of protocols that ladies are not allowed to work? They show in many serials but does it have any relationship to reality? Recently saw the same rule in TMD,NaUmr and now this. I do not think earlier serials ever showed educated families doing this.

May be it is possible in some really regressed areas like villages but I don't think rich people in India are this regressed. Not even in Rajasthan.
