The issue with universe is that bollywood is constructing their universe only after a few standalone movies already came out. Now they suddenly decided they need to make a universe without any goal.

i hv hope on Astra verse only.

In general, large interwoven universes are collapsing. It started with superhero fatigue and the Marvel/DC Universe failures.

If it is the same cut-and-paste format, then the audience gets exhausted and starts to check out. It is also important that the story and characters be engaging and compelling.

Pathaan hyped the Spy Universe because it was fresh to see SRK in an action avatar and people loved the throwback references. Tiger 3 underperformed because the story wasn't fresh or compelling.

Individual movies will succeed as long as it is not boring and formulaic.
