The ideas of -verses isn't that bad and it hadn't been senseless, at least not on paper. All depends on execution.

The Astraverse could have had potential...Brahmastra started well until they brought this half-baked love story.

The Copverse isn't a bad idea either but there should be other directors, too, and more diversity.

The Spyverse starting in retrospective with the Tiger movies made sense also, but they made a blunder with another Pakistan story in Tiger 3...a -verse has to expand not focus on the same 'problem'.

Astraverse is fine if Bollywood wish to go Baahubali-scale. They have enormous amount of content to shape a stellar series of movies. But Brahmastra was basically a hotchpotch of Harry Potter and Indian mythos.

Spyverse never did make any sense. Like you said, Tiger 3 had another Pakistan angle to it. How many times are people willing to watch the same Raw/ISI rivalry? Plus, India isn't a global juggernaut like the US, where they can pick and chose narratives. The Avengers had everything going on for it from Afghanistan to the Cold War to global terrorism to World War 2 to modern geopolitics in Europe to aliens to supervillains to mythology, and whatnot.

As a crossover, Spyverse might work. Ditto Copverse. But they really don't have enough legs. It's ridiculous to stretch it into something it's clearly not meant for.

I wish it worked that way. Bollywood producers are so damn stubborn and like to "keep it in the family." You might write the greatest screenplay ever written and send it to YRF, they won't even read it.

There are rare instances like when someone narrated the story of GoW to Kashyap at a cafe, or Kiran found Delhi Belly in a pile of dusty screenplays, but unless you have contacts, they won't even bother entertaining you.

War was initially a standalone movie. But to hype up Pathaan, they started this whole Spyverse drama.

Tiger is only Salman. Those other series on own ok but trying to tie them looses the plot. Also changing directors or mainly writers in the spyverse was stupid. Kabir and Ali knew the plot and Ali worked on ETT with Kabir and understood what todo with TZH. Mostly understood Salman and how he is to be projected onscreen and still giving Zoya her screen time. Here it was more on Zoya and less on Tiger. Though I personally loved the movie and still really unsure 🫤 on the audience other then some saying Tiger needed to be presented in some way. I ask in what way but get no logic.

I just get that saving the pak PM did not settle well with the Indian audience and at times to much action n less character development. Though the story is leap bounds better then Pathan. Though Pathan did have a skin show n theme related to India and Jim looking sexy to men n women n was slightly better villian whereas emraan didn’t kiss or have skin show nor Katrina much other then the Towel scene. The songs in both movies were at par ( I liked Tiger songs more though). Though Pathan had boycott controversy and had more locales and Salmans entry better in Pathan then Srks in Tiger 3 and seemed unnecessary to some. Story in Tiger 3 was more coherent then Pathans as it took time to understand on the virus n Deepika changing sides n seducing both Srk n Jim n the cheesy lines. Whereas, Tiger 3 was to the point but they could have given emraan a stronger motive to seek vengeance and had Tiger think Zoya betrayed him longer n more intensity between the two. Basically was lots action n less on the story.
