One thing has always struck me as being peculiar in both Ramayan and Mahabharat;

In Ramayan if Kaikeyi wanted her son to be the king she could've asked lifelong vanvas for Ram instead of 14 years so that her son could be the king

Even in MB Duryodhan could've easily given them lifelong exile period instead of 13+1 years

Why both the epics have simillar punishment of 14 years? Why not longer?

Mahabharat is 12+1 years of exile not 13+1 years

I think they never planned to give a lifelong exile since that would become a punishment and people/citizens might revolt (just my opinion) it was always aimed to give time sufficient enough to ensure the king creates a stronghold which is difficult to overcome once returned from exile

Especially in case of Kekayi it was completely useless otherwise, I mean did she know her husband will die soon?

What if he lived for 15 more years and hence remained the king? Like Bharat would have been on Crown Prince when Ram retuned how would that help?

But still why 13 and 14 years when they could've just as easily asked for a lifetime of exile.....people in Treta Yug and Dwapra Yug took their promises seriously so this would've been an instant solution and Dury could've avoided the war

Yep Kaikeyi's boons were stupid but what about Duryodhan? He could've easily asked for a lifelong exile too

People I am confused since yesterday

So Yuvika got 2% shares staked as collateral, and then she arranged 80lakhs which meant she got enough money to return to investor, so does that mean their Invesment was only 1 crore 60 lakhs? And for that she had put 2% shares?

I mean so does her 2% shares only value 2 Crore? What is the size of their company? Like only 100 Crores kya?

Duryodhan's was not a boon, it was a game, I mean yes Shakuni was a better player, but upsets do happen, what if they lost this game of dice? Duryodhan wouldn't want to be in exile for lifelong...

Also he was trying to find Pandavas during Agyatwaas (nearly found him IMO) which would gave meant them going in for second round

Calculation se to yehi lag raha hai, unless she was foolish enough to stake her 2% shares valuing around 20 crores (overall company size 1000 crores still not huge) for 1.6 crore investment
