Driven, Are you having telepathy? I needed some place to vent out frustation about my job. It feels like you made this thread at the right time.
I'm more than fed up with my job. It's been one month I left the house, living in hostel. New place/city, New work place, it felt like I have been doing a hard labor from one month at work place. Past 7 days I had fever, sore throat, cough, running nose, body pains but no single sick leave was given, instead I was made to do overwork. I lost my weight 2 kgs in past 7 days. It's not like they pay high.. Yikes. After one month of hard labor I feel like I need one year vacation. This is how I feel by the time I finish my work everyday.
I don't get week off on Sunday, I get week off on Tuesday. On Sundays there was more work.. đ
I pray something amazing with land up in your career. Some managers are just horrible.
I left my 9-5 job, there was too much drama. I wish i had left long time ago. Somewhere I didn't believed in myself but was dependent on the job. Horrible management team and worse co workers. Too many rules breaking at workplace that I had to call HR daily but at the end i chose peace and left the job. When i told my manager, she was so shocked. I learned the more nicer you are, the more people take advantage of you. I also learned never settle for less and always know your worth. I was miserable with that job and when i left, i was so happy.
I like to start blogging but i need to see if that work will make me happy and will align with my purpose. Honesty after that job I never want to work 9-5 job unless I am working with a discipline and organized team. I don't regret leaving the company because if people bring drama to the table, change the table. I know I deserve so much more than what I got.

Agree with you. Had similar experience in past 20 days, Lazy coworkers(some, not all) plus lame management is the worst combo. I will work here until March and will see what to do.
ya love my job. It's like a giant casino- lights flashing on screens, buying/ selling stuff you don't own, feeling the adrenalin rush when all hell breaks lose and markets are going wild, having pretty girls all dying to date you, and after all that still getting paid more money than anyone should have any right to. Every month is an eternity in terms of experiences... Seriously, I'd get bored if I had any other job. In fact, I was once visiting someone at a back-office.... and glanced out to see people walking leisurely back from the parking lunch after lunch. The whole vibe could put me to sleep.
I love my job and like my coworkers, but after reading up on FIRE - Financial Independence Retire Early I am going to retire early. I have no interest in working 30-35 years and then retiring. I don't tie my self-worth to work, money and achievements. My self-worth is tied to my values and principles. It is still fun to achieve things, but I don't want to ever letting anything get to my head.
Ah this woman is the gift that keeps on giving! I always knew that she would fail as a politician as well...
