The standard is so low for these star kids that anything a bit better is hailed. Yes better than Sara and Jahnvi fosho.

It is a one time watch. The film will seem very relatable to our social media generation. The problem of the film though is that it does not have highs . The tone and rhythm of the film stays constant throughout. High points are needed in a film to engage the viewers more.

Adarsh is the best of the lot followed by Sidhant. Ananya has acted better but her dialogue delivery is just so bad.

P.S - Zoya seems really hurt with all the nepotism chatter . She sneaked in a reference in this film as well. smiley36

It annoys me too that they don't show proper closure.

More and more such things are happening in OTT movies and webseries.

Open endings are my biggest peeve. If we as an audience have to decide / assume what happened to the character or situation then why even make the show or movie and waste our time.

Loved every single minute of this movie. And I feel like every person from today's generation will relate to it. So damn relevant, hard-hitting and superbly acted by everyone with an actual message that doesn't feel pretentious. Siddhant Chaturvedi is so likeable (and he has a really sexy vibe to him like damn rawr), Adarsh G is so so good and Ananya is surprisingly great too. They have great friendship chemistry; loved Imaad and Ahana's friendship the most, reminded me so much of my guy bestfriend :D

And the songs are soooooo good, especially "I Wanna See You Dance" and "Hone Do Jo Hota Hai". Savera and Oaff really are gems smiley27

the film is much better than trailer. I also really liked siddhant in this movie but Can u please explain me *spoiler* why was sidhhant a sex addict in the movie if he wanted to avoid intimacy? Also, i noticed some parallels, sidhant leaves a girl after sleeping with her before she wakes up n then blocks her number, ananya's boyfriend Rohan also does the same thing with her, sidhant cheated on kalki n ananya's boyfriend cheated on her. I know both guys n situations r not exactly same but Does these parallels mean anything?

Enjoyed the movie, a good watch before the new years. Put down your phones and live in the moment not for validation of others . ❤️ all three did a pretty good job.

*SPOILERS*

I wouldn't say that there are significant parallels between Rohan cheating on Ahana (Ananya) and Imaad (Sid C) sleeping with other people to be honest; the former cheated because he clearly didn't want to commit/was a jerk who wanted to have his cake and eat it too, whereas the latter stuck to sleeping with other women despite Simran (Kalki) being in his life, because he knew he was falling for her, which terrified him. Facing any kind of deep emotions would open up the Pandora box of his past, something he desperately wanted to avoid out of shame, like his therapist said. So he subconsciously resorted to self-sabotage (staying on Tinder), to stay in his comfort zone of escapism. But eventually that went to shit because avoiding your reality and actual feelings always end up biting you in the ass - which is something so, so important.

I guess we could say that both, especially Imaad's story, revolve around avoidance of intimacy, the theme of the movie and a sadly relevant reality of our generation for most people.

About Imaad, like I mentioned before, he was basically using sex as a distraction/coping mechanism, just like one can get addicted to alcohol or drugs to cling onto for respite from reality. His intentions were to have casual sex, without real intimacy or investing emotionally which is why he blocked those girls before they could get attached. Simran was his turning point.

The awareness that our generation now has concerning mental health, abuse from parents and everything that used to be taboo as compared to before is something that can be quite overwhelming, especially when you blend that with the unreal pace of technological evolution. So most youngsters resort to living on their phones, like you saw in one of the initial shots of the movie, to escape facing the fastened pace of life and pressures/expectations of society. And whilst doing so, we tend to seek so much of validation online and lose sense of ourselves. That, and repression of childhood traumas, which is Sid C's Imaad's case, are crucial themes that the movie addresses.

*spoiler* yes i already said that I know both guys n situations r NOT exactly same but these 2 parallels r i mentioned is same. so i guess the parallels i noticed didn't mean anything. Anyways, There was a scene in 'isha nachaawe' song when imaad is in restroom looks like he had just done vomiting after kissing a girl, then he drinks too much alcohol then he starts dancing. Next day, when he wakes up in her bed, he looks very uncomfortable so does this mean that he gets uncomfortable with physical intimacy also? I don't understand
