Same but all the discussion was buried under the box office of his movies which obviously showed that people of India have accepted him with all his crimes
I am none to say what they should spend on, their life and their choice
But what do you think makes people okay with idolizing life of a criminal?
One of the two biggest names in the industry is guilty of multiple crimes including manslaughter, has a repeated history of domestic abuse and frequently makes insensitive remarks about women and threatens other people. But he is also a lovable goof and runs a charity, so that’s alright then.
Mind you the other biggest name routinely collaborates with him, and has shown how much he believes in women’s rights when actually forced to choose between his buddy and Aishwarya. But he puts his heroines names before him in the credits, so that’s also alright.

I was actually going through recent threads on Hirani's Me Too accusations and saw that people were apprehensive about it but many celebrated Salman's cameo in Pathaan when he is actually a convicted criminal
What do you think makes the difference in his case?
But again, I don't see how we are putting a criminal on par with someone who is working with him
Honestly, the political PR in India puts Salman Khan to shame. Salman is a baby in langot compared to Indian political PR.
Pretty much every rich person or celebrities philanthropy is for PR and avoid paying taxes.
