I think she brings him home for some weird reason to introduce him to her fam and realises they plan on killing him and her lawyer brain told her the only way to keep him alive is by breaking up with him and crushing his soul in front of her family of goons

So Nimmo does that and then agrees to marry a guy of her fam's choice but then consumes poison and unalives herself because she can't be with anyone else but an underage child.
