Finally caught up on the last phase of Katha just for closure
There were some good epis/scenes in between where they both did well angst/emotions wise even if Katha's logic was very half-baked and unconvincing. The whole plot of opening up the ONS in front of Aarav only was a very messed up one and there was no recovering from it in the story no matter how much they made people discuss it.....there was a scene of Katha hypothesizing with Vanya ki one day when Aarav grows up, he will find out the whole truth about the ONS and he will be even more shattered then when he processes it as an adult so better we seperate from Viaan only.....lol like imagine getting into the details of such a sensitive issue in such a manner.....the writers totally lost their brains for doing this.
Anyways in the very last 2 epis, they rushed to wrap it up by showing Katha suddenly realizing that she shouldn't be trying to run away from the matter cuz she's scared for Aarav but teaching Aarav to strongly face situations....lol out of the blue she had this realization and was trying to justify it
I also realized again while watching the very last scenes which were pushing the cringe/cheesy scale again that Aditi and Adnan always did their best work in this show when it was in the angsty zone between their characters....when we had a Viaan or Katha communicating via their hesitations and hang-ups.....the moment they got together, they suddenly start mouthing super cheesy lines and both of them started overacting like hell
The very last scene was about Katha discovering she's somehow magically pregnant now and Viaan actually mouths a line saying mujhe jaadu aata hai
.....uske baad whatever sharmaane and emotional waali acting Aditi was doing was not convincing
.....anyways they ended it on the "ankahee" part of the title montage fading away as Khaare Raste played in the background so that was decent.....I did experience some nostalgia watching the end cuz of all the times I've loved the subtle scenes, the high of listening to Khaare Raste in the scenes....the generally gradual nature in which things used to unfold in the show.....it deffo stood out from the rest of the ITV herd so they do deserve kudos for that.
