Chalo minty khush ho jao that finally Tripti got the recognition from the main audience base of India, which is launde lapade audience base, aaj har ladke bol rahe hai Bhabhi 2 new national crush. Bus yeh umeed mat rakhna that she will progress now by doing Kala or Bulbul(both really good movies), but she needs to be play the female leads opposite popular actors. Because she doesn't have a support system like Alia nor a decade of stardom like Deepika.
If Tripti wants to be respected as an actress, she should never venture fully into mainstream cinema. Yes, films like Animal are good to bring her into the public glare but she'll only be subjected to objectification. For her own sake, I hope she continues being associated with wonderful films like Bulbul and Qala.
Seriously? How is the audience discerning?
They completely slept on Tripti when she delivered phenomenal performances in Bulbbul and Qala. Not only was she brilliant in those films, the narratives in those films were so nuanced.
The audiences only appreciated her when she did a titillating role in a commercial movie that any two-bit actress could have done.
This is no cause to celebrate the audience as discerning. But lament our society that women have to succumb to the male gaze in order to get the fame and popularity that is rightfully theirs.
