Where have I see this thinking before, I wonder? smiley44

No, I specifically blamed the feminists supporting this movie because it glorifies violence against women. You asked for ONE woman. You got one woman.

The woman doesn't like Ranbir and clearly isn't a fan. Till now, I was thinking that maybe distinction is there but this denial is worrying

What am I watching at 1:52 exactly? The woman who said that she got emotional at a few places? Where is she supporting violence against women or endorsing heinous acts?

Ah too good smiley36

How about she was feeling bad for a rapist? Weren't you telling us that movie doesn't make you feel bad for the characters, It makes you hate them? Then why is that woman feeling bad for both characters?

Thanks for the confirming the doubts, I had

And nope …journalists also said that his love goes to destructive villainous lengths …there is a creepy undertone to his love and the film made that obvious …

No one came out saying “I wanna be like ranvijay”…they said “ranbir killed it”…there is a massive difference between the two

Anyway, I'm banging my head against the wall at this point. I suppose nothing teaches like personal experience, and very few these days have had the personal experience of what it is like to live in a world where you need to fear going out after dark. Because you're a woman. Or what it is to fear going home. Because you're a woman.

That has nothing to do with feminism, I think, but with a toxic environment that is furthered by those with a not so vested interest...

Feminism is a women rights movement considering work, pay and social status...it has nothing to do how they are - emotion wise - treated by men.

And that woman in the video is a feminist? How did you figure?

I'm still unsure why you're grilling women over charcoals for a character portrayed by a man, made by a man, produced by a man, enjoyed by majority men? It's not fighting the good fight, rather shifting the blame to another party and letting go off the culprit scot free yet again.

There's a difference between watching a movie and resonating with everything shown and implementing it in real life. If a woman goes around murdering men with a machine gun in broad daylight and engaging in sexual violence and abuse, then be sure to call me. So far, I only see men and the characters portrayed by men doing that.

Once again, not all women.

Feminists who are celebrating the success of this glorification of violence against women. There are a lot in that thread.

The woman in the video, feminist or not, was still supporting this movie.

Toxic pieces of crap like Vanga are being called out. His enablers do deserve blame.

Exactly t h a t is something every woman can work against - the fear.

Let us be honest, it's men who fear women, that's why they grab all the means at hands to instill fear into women...violence is one of it...especially in s'x combined with the adrenaline (= power) high so important for men...

No. You are doing with the video what you were doing with the movie, denying what is there to suit your narrative.

First you argued that both characters were written to be hated on and I gave you many examples included one of a senior journalist who said that Ran Vijay loves his father and wife

You brought up other journalists and said that none said they want to be like him but that they liked Ranbir

I gave you video of a woman, who watched the movie but isn't a Ranbir fan so the blanket of Ranbir fan praising Ranbir doesn't work here

1) You can clearly see that she feels bad for Ranvijay and was talking about his love for his father and how his father neglected him and compared it to her father, she can't be like Ranbir but she drew comparisons with real life.

2) The scene where she speaks about 2 brothers is between Ranbir and Bobby Deol 🤦‍♀️

Do you not hear her saying "Chhod Dena tha, Bhai to hai"?

Where do you see the disgust for both characters as you were trying to portray all this while?

Continue with the charade, I am out

Feminism doesn't have anything to do with women's safety? C'mon.
