They can use it for promotional events but whats her name in the movie? Is it Betty? I don't know if there's a Betty song but beti is close enough. Should they use this? smiley36

Even from the 2000s we have ladies like Sush, Lara, Mallika and all, who were barring their career were intelligent and articulate. I have been watching old episodes of KWK and noticed how polished and authentic they all sounded, even when not being controversial. I saw PC's episode with Arjun Rampal today and she was only 22 but spoke well, steered through KJo's traps, was funny and at the same time genuine. It's not just actresses, but actors too have seen a massive downgrade.

It's not about the degrees, a lot of the actors have a personality, an aura and perspective that degrees cannot teach. This gen actors sorely lack that. Whenever I watch any of them talk, I lose my brain cells and I have only so few to spare.

I rarely watch any bolly actor's interview. So I was talking in general😂

Last kwk i watched was when Deepika and Alia came together.

I watched some clips of yesterday's epi and I agree Kareena was more clear in head. It looked like Alia had hard time finding words at times.

There's no way people get cheated, lied and backstabbed and then be chummy chummy. That's just not human nature. The world has changed massively, a lot of the comments that were made two decades back will not be tolerated today. But here's thing, past actors were extremely likable and interesting even without the controversial stuff. I don't know how to describe, but they seemed real, and human above all.

Now it's all manufactured, like I look at a star and I know exactly what they are gonna say.

I'd take catty over faux nicety is what I'm saying.

I got the feeling that the pr-agencies have got too much influence in especially the youngsters' lives so that they lost the natural behaviour in front of a camera.

Also I guess that there is a considerable amount of pressure from the parents' side as in many cases, the kids have become the 'bread-earner' (I think of Sanjay Kapoor, Chunkey Pandey and also Boney Kapoor) - at least imo.

I think, that these young actresses and also actors privately are nice persons but with all the media glare and the social media comments and people who tells them how to be, what to do and what not, it might be difficult to keep "real".

Alia reminds of the daughter character from Tribhangasmiley36. Growing up in one toxic extreme, marrying into the other toxic extreme.

Most of the actors these days cannot digs at each other...sab ek hi thali ke chhate bhatte hai. Most of them are nepo, PR products. At least the actresses.... Jhanvi, Sara, etc etc. sab ki story same hai toh kya hi taunt karenge ek dusre ko. And on top of the cancel culture. Isliye acha banke rehne padta hai... otherwise all of them seem to have a mean streak.

I agree about the PR driven image of current gen actors. But I think they all have agency over how much they allow PR to shape their public image. There are girls like Kiara, Sanya, and Shraddha to name a few who don't have an over active PR driving their every move or every interview they choose to give. So I do believe that there is a way to function in the industry without subscribing to all the madness. But they might not want it themselves over treading the chosen path like every body else.

Social media has truly been a game changer and I completely agree. Those who have grown up with it can't separate themselves from it. They see it as an extension of themselves. Actors are no better.

Wasn't that Ranuka's debut as a director/writer? The one with Kajol? I've to try to watch it, I only read about.

Did you like the movie?

Yes. It was unsettling for me to watch because I lost my mother. But a good movie nevertheless.
