Amrit was an enjoyable naughty character when he was fooling Gattu and Sonali with obvious lies, freeloading, and wasting time and money wooing Bulbul-as-Imlie^3. After Sonali found out, Amrit should have lost his meal ticket, panicked, and learned to stand on his own feet. His genuine attraction to Imlie^3 could have given her an alternative to abusive Gattu.
Now the writers are making Amrit an arsonist, killer, and molester, just to prop Gattu. The only reason that Amrit forces himself on Imlie^3 is so that we'll forget how offensive it is that Gattu always picks up Imlie^3 and carries her against her will.
On other shows, the villain touches the heroine's clothes so that the hero can jump in to save her, as if the suddenly chivalrous hero didn't previously cut open her blouse and threaten to rape her, take off his shirt and carry her to bed by force, drag her into his car to marry her by force, threaten to take off his towel in front of her etc. The creative team of Imalī (3rd generation) made the correct choice to show Imlie^3 as a victim who has to find her own voice, not a damsel-in-distress for Gattu to rescue.
The scenes of Amrit grabbing Imlie^3's wrist and rubbing his foot on her leg are illogical for both characters. Amrit should know that his future depends on Sonali's forgiveness. Imlie^3 should tell Gattu about Amrit's "bar singer" blackmail and let Gattu solve his own problem.
