See I’m liking the story. I find that the characters have flaws but I know people like that in real life. I know a lot like Zaid - blaming the wrong people, not taking responsibility and not even being able to take a proper stand. Instead he engages in passive aggressive behaviour. He’s the most realist character to me. I know people like that and they frustrate me. They aren’t bad people but they sometimes have a hard time taking responsibility. I’m sure I do it too…you get caught up looking at things only from your own perspective. I know a few people like Mubashira too and they are very difficult people to stay in a friendship with. The problem is that they marketed this story in a misleading way. The captions and the ost specifically. The teasers were actually pretty accurate. I still think MJ and Zaid are endgame.

I understand that there are people like that in real. I know I must have also engaged in passive aggressive behaviour at some point. But I am just unable to like Zaid at all. I am okay with Mubashira. I just feel like they dragged too much till 14 episodes. Chalo there will be some progression hopefully.

Yes. They should not have marketed this as a love story. Promos are fine but title, drama cover, marketing is about their love story which is so misleading.

About endgame, I seriously don't know now.. Anything can happen. But I feel Mubashira already had a divorce and her ex remarries on the same day. Same thing happening to her the second time is really stupid. Even if zaid does not divorce her and just remarries, it is still same

Zaid and MJ two flawed characters, kafi potential hai story main but I dont think so writer and director is doing justice with these complicated characters

A lot of understanding Zaid for me is just seeing how his behaviour is represented in the real world. Also a lot of it is deduced based on his father’s behaviour. You can see that he most likely has been always manipulated by his dad his entire life. As much as he rebels, he isn’t able to completely break away or effectively go against him. He doesn’t even want to believe that his father is actually evil but would rather believe that he is motivated by Mubashira. He caught MJ conspiring against Ayra with Asif and now it’s even easier for him to fully blame her. Again not the completely rational but it’s kind of his flaw and what makes him grey. He is by no means coming out heroic and I feel like I’m enjoying it for that very reason.

Also I think Zaid is going to come even less likeable in the future. In one of the teasers, MJ’s dad says that he hasn’t seen MJ like this before and she isn’t being brave and bold like before. He also says something like he talks badly about his daughter in front of him (I think referring to Zaid). I think she’ll soften up but he will continue to mistreat her. He will probably realize his mistake but it might be too late.

The marketing was misleading and they shouldn’t have done that. I feel like they’re still doing that with the Maria B photoshoot. It also makes me think that something will happen between them, I just can’t figure out how.

I agree with you. They all took their decisions and now blaming one another. Chalo I also understand human does things in impulse and regrets later. But there's a way to handle that? Kab tak you'll blame others? Bas calmly sit down and say galti hogayi impulse mein I don't want to continue. Own upto your mistakes.

About Ayra, I think she gate crashed wedding because she didn't really think that Asif would be that dangerous. I guess she just thought that he just threatened so that bro can back off from this rishta. But I feel when they later on realised that Asif is harassing them, they should have just changed their location. I know it's hard to leave your place but kuch toh...

Rayaan toh is like Aag lage basti mein, hum rahe masti mein 😂😂 He has his differences/hate for Mubashira but eventually does what she says 😂 I toh want sadistic pleasure now. Kashmala should suffer bcz of Rayan 😂

Its nice to see grey characters but I draw the line at stupid characters One thing that never made any sense to me is that MJ was never rude or condescending to Zaid. In fact she thanked him for standing up for her during the entire Mohib fiasco. Zaid too in the first episode wasn't repulsed by MJ. In fact they had a decent civil conversation and he was the one who handled things when she had her breakdown. Why the all of the a sudden hate?

@bold: Yaar itne bade ghar ka ladka. She knew him from college. Everyone in the world knows how these rich powerful people function, ye kaunse khet ki mooli hai ki isse pata hi nahi tha And her brother...why did he have to tell her in the first place...he saw Asif's office and the bodyguards and all...could have just told her after the wedding (if he really had to) or dealt with it differently.

Yes. Even I was put off by the fact that Zaid is unnecessarily mean when Mubashira was never bad with him, infact genuinely thankful when he managed the situation. He approached her on her wedding anniversary and she says they were friends. Phir ye sab kya behaviour hai. I don't mind grey characters but Zaid seems so weird..

I think we would have empathized with zaid had ayra been any sort of decent. Had there been a genuine love connection between the two, we would have been able to understand why zaid is going bonkers

.. But the actress playing ayra is so so damn flat that she evokes no emotions except an urge to use the fast forward button

Zaid sort of reminds of a fish trapped in a net... He has neither accepted his fate nor has he (yet) enough rebellion to break free and tell everyone to F+ck off... He is basically jhat-pataoing and lashing out at the person standing the nearest whixh is Mubashira

When Zaid goes up against his dad, the power imbalance really shows. He just engages in passive aggressive, almost bratty behaviour and impulsive actions, but he hasn’t truly been able to effectively stand up to him. I also noticed that he also avoids tackling a situation head on. When Ayra crashed his wedding, he just took off instead of confronting his dad. He also just ignored his dad and walked away when he returned. His dad followed him up to his room. His life was just perfect up until this point and now that everything is upside down, he doesn’t quite know how to handle things.
