Katha's reason to break ties with Viaan is her fear that Aarav will get to know about ONS someday if they are together and that will push him to guilt for a lifetime. In the car driving scene, she has explicitly told this. He may take it as he was the reason behind the ordeal his mother has to undergo. We can not even imagine how his life will change if he gets to know the truth. So its a huge risk to keep Aarav and Viaan together.

Now the ONS is not a secret between just Katha and Viaan. And she has seen how that broke two families. So her fear is justifiable. If Maya or Teji can get into the deep of ONS, what is the guarantee tomorrow someone else will not make Aarav know about it. You never know anyone who is aware of this can turn against them and use this.
But her strategy to get married to Raghav is to hold back herself from getting affected by Viaan's presence. She wants to block the path. And her getting married to Raghav is more foolish as it will break two more people later. She has not moved on, but wants to show Viaan that she moved on thinking he will also move on after that. She is using Raghav to show that she has moved on and through that she is shielding Aarav.

The problem here is Katha is thinking and acting like a mother and Viaan is acting like a lover. There is a clear conflict of interest. Katha also loves Viaan, but she knows that they can not be together for the future of Aarav. And Viaan is not thinking that way. Katha is basically choosing Aarav over Viaan. And thats natural.

The best possible solution in this situation is to have open communication between Katha-Viaan, and Viaan also will agree to Katha in this case. Later She can move in to a different city and stay away from Viaan. Otherwise, Katha-Viaan-Aarav after resolving conflict between Aarav-Viaan can move in to a different city or country and live away from their past relations. Even then there is a risk involved in it.

I believe the route they are taking like Katha trying to keep Aarav away from Viaan is more relatable in Indian scenario than the OG turkish one. She is representing a typical Indian mother trying to protect her child from everything.

In my personal opinion, Katha and Viaan should come to a point of peace and part ways and move on in their lives.

Lack of love need not to be the reason for break up always. And the person need not to be bewafa. You can be still in love with a person, but you may not be able to be in a relationship with him/her at the same time.

Katha can break up without giving a reason if you closely observe what chaos happened in marriage. People openly were discussing ONS which is a very private thing, families were fighting, gun shots, FIL died, MIL went away, her son slipped into mental health issues, Viaan went to jail, so many things. Her whole world crumbled in a moment.

How can you expect her to behave normal as if nothing happened and will be open to him?

Do we even think it from the perspective of a woman whose such an intimate act out of helplessness was discussed in open?

" I Don't want to pursue life with you anymore. Half truth that Aarav knows has made him a mentally unstable child and he hates you immensely that he doesn't want to see your face. Full truth will break him completely. Right now, he doesn't understand anything but later, when he grows up, don't know what will happen to him."

Something else that can be added to it?

Sorry, that I am enquiring too much but, I am unable to think of a convincing conversation which Katha can give to give closure to Viaan. Everyone is saying she should give closure to Viaan but, what will she say to give him closure? And, giving him closure is not easy for a very specific reason.

1. That he should alway listen to his mother. She was right, katha is not good enough for her son. Mothers are always right. Her son Aarav is also listening to his mother's advice to forget his bura past and moving on.

You people are thinking about Viaan. Atleast he know some truth in bits and pieces.

What about Raghav? Katha is openly telling his colleagues that she love Viaan. Her whole office kind of know. But she isn't telling Raghav. Why making mockery of him.

This is what exactly she told in the hospital while she broke up. That they can't be together, for the sake of everyone around and Aarav. What happened afterwards. Viaan ran behind her, reached G house and all chaos happened

Its not so easy to convince him about break up.

It's not always black or white. Sometimes no one is at fault yet suffer in a situation. Sometimes no matter how hard you try things don't work out. And no amount of love, care or optimism is enough to beat those odds. Like Viaan said halaat bahut badi cheez hai. Aur us waqt halaat bahut bade the. No amount of reasoning or begging would have worked. Of course circumstances can change over time. That's the best thing about life. They tried their best then, and it still didn't matter in the end. Maybe now they'll get their chance.

Sorry to say Viaan is selfish who always considered his emotion first. So he will never be satisfied.

Katha gave to him the closure 4 times technically

1st in hospital Breakup

2nd time in car when Viaan was drunk

3rd time in cafe

4th time it will be in engagement

So, the entire argument that she should give closure is futile when she has done that so many times. Also, no amount of closure is going to convince him.

Hospital breakup is the proper one where she gave valid reason for their seperation. I still don't understand what Viaan meant by fixing everything. He knew intentions of Maya and her truth still, he was unable to stop her. However, his desperation to fix everything also makes sense so, he is perfectly right at his place.

Let's don't count car one as a proper closure. It is proper closure convo from Katha's side but, since Viaan wasn't in his senses, so, it is wasted. But, thing to note is that in their first meet "alone" she gave him his answers which can be called a proper closure.

In cafe, it is again case of improper closure however, I don't expect a proper closure in public space.

I haven't watched today's episode so, don't know what happened today.

There is another problem with closure that once Viaan realizes the reason for condition of Aarav is his family and root cause on top of this is ONS, he will again go back into immense guilt and then, he will never be able to move on from it. Atleast its better that he is hating Katha and he is ready to move on from her but, in that case, he will spend his entire life in guilt. So, whether Katha gives him closure or not, he will still remain in past.
