while all these years i thought hes kid of house and so immature and sunny is very mature as eldest

in interviews its opp bobby talks very maturely about world and life and work place politics than sunny can ever do

May be failure has made him mature in life - when life gives you lessons you suddenly mature over night

Sunny may be better actor but hes not good at romance, dance, comedy etc nor a good looker as required in bollywood all he can do is scream and punch hard. Does he think a commoners kid cannot do that as good or better than him they can but no oppt.

In regional movies only you can get commoners who became heroes and can do better action than sunny deol and act and look good too. So why sunny says he is on merit? He took almost 8 years for a super hit in ghayal and was given lot of oppt that could have gone to outsiders. Where as a outsider is told to prove with 1st movie or not given further oppt if he fails. No doubt sunny deol is a good action/emotion star and better than most other nepos in last 40 years who debuted but hes privileged thats for sure

People like ravi teja of telegu or yash from kannada and rajnikant/vijay/vikram from tamil or mamooty/mohanlal from kerala can act better than any nepo of bollywood and are commoners and few can do great action equalling sunny deol too. So its not like commoners cannot but they do not get oppt.

Not true. His debut movie ‘ Betaab’ is a blockbuster. And then he has had the iconic Arjun. Both much before Ghayal.

A father helps his son. A son who grew up seeing his father doing a certain thing will want to do it himself. Tendulkar’s son is a cricketer. Sunil Gavaskar’s son is a cricketer. A doctor’s son wants to be a doctor himself. It’s up to the children whether they can establish themselves or not. No matter which field they choose, you are going to call them privileged and helped by their famous fathers anyway, no? Nepotism is a burden when mediocrity gets shoved down or when people start hijacking every opportunity in the town for themselves like how Alia and K Jo do it.

It's just so tiresome and cliché, this whole debate about doctor's kids wanting to be doctors, cricketer's kids wanting to play cricket, and film stars' children aspiring to follow in their footsteps. It has been discussed a hundred times before, and yet it keeps coming up. Two wrongs do not make a right and even in medicine, nepotism is a big deal, but the sons and daughters still have to go through the whole education grind to make it. In the film industry, especially in India, you don't need education or talent to make it if you have the right last name. It is extremely unfair and anyone who defends it I believe never went through the trauma of a privileged kid taking away your seat just because s/he had the right last name. The likes of Deols would never experience it and hence, the arrogance.

Honestly, I don't have the patience to sit through the whole episode, so I'll just skip this and wait for the next guests.

So why put the burden of all nepotism debates on KJo and Alia?

Either nepotism is bad or it isnt (I personally don't see any issues with it because it balances out and weeds out the bad nepo products anyways in the long run)

What has Alia done which was not done by the other "good" nepo kids? Hrithik gave half a dozen back to back flops after KNPH and K3G before he became selective and started doing 1 movie every 2 years or something and went with a very selective and curated filmography. Abhishek has only got 2 solo Hits in his career of 40+ movies and cant even work on his fitness. Bobby had a string of 6-7 disasters and still got big projects, then took a long ass break.

Are we saying these guys did not get roles which could have gone to any new comers? Inhone sifarish nahi lagayi hogi? Alia did the same - but she works way harder than nepos like Abhishek and Bobby, and is a much much better actor. And yet, She cops way more hate than either of them

Something about Karan getting Alia into a film where the director really wanted Katrina Kaif. But Katrina Kaif has a history of being removed from films. She was suppose to do a movie produced by Mahesh Bhatt opposite John Abraham. John at that time got Katrina out and Tara Sharma was casted. So Ill never say what they did is wrong or bullying unless we can also say John was wrong to do it
