Poor opening. I know there is world cup going and Ind vs Aus game was there but this is disappointing opening. I wasn't expecting very high TRP given how reality shows are performing these days but still I was expecting 1.2-1.3 trp. Last season opening episode TRP was 2.0. Next week it can get lesser TRP as there was Ind vs Pak.

Yes I think world cup is the reason. If you see all the reality show TRPs have fallen. IGT, SRGMP, Fear Factor...all have fallen. Bad time to launch a show like Indian Idol. Hope it gets better as gala rounds begin.

It's the same as KBC so it's not too bad

I believe the TRP is only going to be up once the whole World Cup ends because most of the remaining matches of India are all on Sunday

Does not auger well for the rest of the Season.
In my experience a poor start translates to a weak season. This is mainly because fewer people get familiar with the contestants and do not usually jump in at a later stage.

Same here I thought her having in the show trp would do better. Did people really give up on reality shows? This is really bad opening but hope it gets better upcoming episodes.

I am seeing so many positive comments about this season but somehow it's not working for TRP. I know World Cup is a reason but this is disappointing.
