That movie released like 20yrs ago and people still remember it because of the songs and not because of its story.
I lost interest when it's revealed he is gonna change his identity to stalk a girl and not for politics or other ulterior motives. Before its release multiple sources said its gonna be a never seen before story blah blah blah but it ended up with the ml changing his identity because he is a simp and a stalker and don't have the backbone to go and talk to the girl he likes
. He saw a pretty girl with good moral values which she preaches at the drop of a hat and decided to stalk her. Since he is played by billu darling who is conventionally good looking and he is the hero it's not supposed to be creepy and scary?
Yes the songs were beautiful and had a meaning..unlike today's remix songs by kakkar & company...
The thing is when this movie released or any other movie which had this stalking plot, we were too young to understand & comprehend that it was wrong at so many levels bcz at that time majority of the movies had such plots with stalking, staring & believing ladki ke naa mei hi haan hai.....
But now when u watch it, obviously it feels weird. I don't even like kuch kuch hota hai and k3g now bcz the plot is so screwed up...
I mean Amitabh says will kajol understand their families parampara, values etc etc but he himself ends up dancing with the firangi dancers..matlab kuch bhi 🤣🤣 khud ki ayashi ekdum intact.....no age barrier nothing 😂😂 I don't even feel sad now..I just keep on laughing....but back then I never had this thought as to why it's wrong...
... I loved that sequence...
