Off course she needs to be questioned and it has nothing to with society's stance for widows etc.

These social evils were relevant against the backdrop when women were subjected to ill treatment and gender discriminated in the worse possible ways. They didn't have any support from their own parents or siblings due to old mindset or societal pressure. Additionally they weren't educated enough to be independent financially , which left them with no choice other than to bear it.

Considering the setting of rishtaverse and akshara goenka's character, she has goenka family to bail her out even if she kills someone , doesn't have as toxic in-laws(neither ex nor prospective) , plus she has a fake degree in law to sustain herself. Forcefully incorporating unrelated societal evils is irrelevant.

Her repetitive marriages and friendly behavior with ex shortly after her husband's death looks cheap on the grounds of her being a human. This behavior of looking for a new mate shortly after the death of previous one isn't justifiable irrespective of gender, off course it's legal but society too is unprohibited to criticise it and this stance can't be attributed to social evils.
