Has Anushka lost interest in bollywood?

For the past few years, mostly ever since she got married, she only makes appearances or does projects with virat. She has done adverts with him, interviews with him, she doesnt attend any bollywood parties or events like the rest of the stars do. Even the Indian sports honours awards is something her and virat presented together. The last film she starred in was zero which was in 2018. She hardly does anything on her own nowadays, it’s always with virat.

She is doing this cricket film but no news of it being released. It seems like she has lost interest in bollywood, she seems happier just being seen with virat and honestly she is more known now as being virats wife than as an actress.

She sleeps early so she doesn’t go to parties

Her career as a producer is better than as an actress

Uska bhi pati uska devta hai

She left Bollywood and nothing really missed a beat

It's unfortunate how this only happens with female actors, whereas male actors/sportspersons continue to thrive even after marriage.

I remember reading sometime ago that her MIL does not want her to work in movies after marriage. So may be that is why.

Does she have anything to offer? She played the same role for 8 years and got multiple awards and good offers. The moment is over now. No one misses her.

Both Parineeti and Anushka, were touted to be the queens of their generation and couldn't take off and fell flat.

Even before marriage, she had gotten into more experimental films like Phillauri. Those didn't work from a business point of view. I mean Sui Dhaaga was objectively quite nice despite having VD and being a Yash Raj film — even that didn't work. I think she has outgrown her bubbly north Indian manic pixie niche acting wise and isn't very versatile otherwise. And then she took a maternity leave in the interim.

She, frankly, is a miscast as Jhulan.

I'd rather she continues to produce and act in the films that satiate her artistically.

The misogyny of it all is not lost on me lol. Virat got trolled for days for taking paternity leave, and Anushka and Vamika get r*pe threats every time India/RCB loses a match. I personally couldn't deal with that much misogyny without bursting at my seams.

Then these weirdos troll them for being overprotective about their daughter.

She was always overrated, good riddance!

I think she is happy being an Instagram influencer/WAG. She will probably start doing web series when that well dries up.

Add to that her partner seems like a closeted patriarch who just wanted a trophy wife.

She never had much spark to begin with and wasn't ambitious as an actress.

She was a great producer but her brother took over and she left officially.

I won't be surprised if Virat gets her pregnant again.
