So I watched in a jam packed theater with a lot of whistles and clappings on every mass scene which made the experience better. The first scene was an edge of the seat subway scene which we saw in the trailer where we found out the purpose of the lead character Azad (son) and his team of six girls. The entire first half was like a thriller movie which ended with a great intermission scene where we meet the massy Vikram Rathore (father) character.

Second half was more on the emotional side as the past story of Vikram & Aishwarya is revealed along with a tragedy that happens with the girls group. The hand to hand combat scenes and a heist scene in the second half were shot masterfully giving it an A grade action masala movie feel.

This will be memorable character 4 all the fans of Shah Rukh Khan as we've never seen him in a massy avatar like this before. Vikram Rathore is a character that will go down as one of the massiest characters in an Indian commercial movie. Nayanthara is beautiful and completely held her own in action scenes, wish she had more to do in the second half. The girls squad were amazing but felt a little let down by Sethupati. Idk if his character wasn't interesting enough or his hindi diction looked awkward but something was missing there. Deepika looked gorgeous in her short cameo and she did well in emotional scenes here for a change.

With the post credit scenes it seems inevitable that a sequel will be made bit I'd much rather have Atlee making a prequel that focuses on the early life of Vikram Rathore with some whistle blowing massy scenes that we got in Jawan.

I was going to mention that ^Yourstruly. We need a sequel, prequel, spin-off series whatever you call it, but we need it for sure.

Atlee man you cannot create a Vikram Rathore and leave it like this. smiley26 Imma gonna sue you if Vikram is not presented with more screenspace and back/front story in next 5 yrs. smiley7

More HISTORY For Jawan - Records Biggest Single Day Of All Time On Saturday

Jawan created more HISTORY on Saturday as it will record the biggest day of all time on Saturday which is day three as it collects an insane 67 crore nett plus with a huge jump and goes higher than first day. The film will edge past the numbers of Pathaan on day two which was a national holiday. The expectation of the highest day ever was for Sunday but it has come a day early due to this growth.

The film will be jumping 45% which is simply phenomenal for a film collecting at these huge levels. The three dau mbers of teh will be around 178 crore nett which is another record smashing through the 160 crore nett of Pathaan by a margin. The growth is a bit less in mass belts but that is mainly because it is a Saturday where multiplexes drive the business and how they have driven for this film.

Normally Sunday would go even further but with this India v Pak cricket match it is difficult to say where collections go and no doubt it will in some way unless the miracle comes and the match does not happen. The huge growth on Saturday could also be because the match is there on Sunday so some of that audience is catching the movie on the Saturday.

There was a time when a 100 crore nett total in three days was seen as a big achievement and this was just recently but here Jawan is going way way past and crossing the 175 crore nett mark. This is not just good for Jawan but the whole industry as it shows where business can go and these collections have come when some areas are not optimum.

My Review:

Things I liked:

The opening scene!! THE OPENING SCENE WAS SOO GOOD! I wished that they dragged that bandage wala Vikram part a bit more. Azad and Namrata fighting scene was executed well. I loved the whole scene. Srk with that grey mask and his nok jhok with SUJI! The Bgms and Zinda Banda.

What I didn't like: The fast paced directing, I felt as if I was watching the movie in 2x. OTT over-emotional scenes. The money stealing scene was too long. Namratha finding out about Azad's identity was quite fast, I wished there were more Chuha Billi scenes even after their marriage. Weak Villain and ending. The villain was quite thanda and not that powerful. It was so easy to defeat him. The ending scene also wasn't satisfactory, I remember the Chennai Express ending action scene were SRK was getting beaten but still he was trying to stand and fight the goons. Oh I loved that scene. Was expecting more dramatic ending. Last but not the least the unnecessary song of DP and SRK, Kya tha woh?

Overall it was a nice movie.
