When having watched a movie, I always look if Baradwaj Rangan has reviewed the movie... he did with Jawan...

I think sometimes it is better to just enjoy a movie than to look for things to criticise just because one is a film critic. I don't know any of the movies he cited so getting ideas from other movies was not something that could turn me off...

Also the movie criticising power systems just with this actor and at this time had been nothing negative (or rehashing) to me, but I found it really cool that SRK spoke up this way...he was very clear in his statements and reactions...I liked his Robin Hood attitude.

I found the background stories rather emotion-stirring but that's not bad because life can be extremely unfair...trying to counter evil with intelligence and love, encouraging positivity is something in the movie I find praise-worthy.

I don't agree that there isn't a story (and a focus)...just another one than in Pathan and what needed to be shown has been shown...

There were situations which gave me a healthy laugh and the pregnancy scene did not come as a surprise to me (I only had expected it earlier as already the first teaser had given it away).

I read the plot before going to watch the movie, because I knew from the trailer that it was not my type. I don't like violence.smiley36 Phir bhi, I guess on screen it was better than it sounded on Wikipedia.

I can't decide which role of SRK I liked more though. They were both equally good. Though I feel he acted slightly better as Captain Vikram Rathore. As Azaad, he sounded robotic at some points. He really has shown versitality though by doing 2 roles which were completely different from each other. He did that well.

I think my favourite scene was the train scene (or whatever that was) at the beginning. Azaad had some funny dialogues there. Also, the scene at the end with the Mustafa-Simba reference. "Kaunsa samosa?"smiley37 The other good dialogues were already given away in the trailer, like the Alia Bhatt wala and "Pehle baap se baat kar." OMG speaking of that part, that was the most emotional scene in the movie. This dialogue is said when Vikram gets his memory back and remembers Azaad is his son.😭😭😭

Nayanthara was okay, I liked Deepika better though in the few scenes she had.smiley36 Sanjay Dutt ka part bhi acha tha.

I enjoyed everyone's whistling whenever Vikram showed up, more than I enjoyed the moviesmiley37 The cinema hall was almost empty, but that could be due to the show being early, I think most desis prefer to watch on the 3d screen in the evening. Idk, mujhe kya 🤷‍♀️

My only complaint was the song Not Ramaiya Vasavaiya not being in the movie. I kept waiting for that song but they kept it for end credits. :(

My rating would be 2.5/5, but that's also because I don't enjoy action and violence which this movie has a lot of. Storywise it was good. So you'll probably like it more than me. I'm more into romantic suspense or mysteries.smiley36
