Because the truth is directly at odds with what she saw and heard with her own eyes, and sadly, there's no way to prove that truth in the 17th century without modern tech.
And maybe it was Dhruv's words; maybe it was her own feelings, but her hands shook and the sword fell out of her hands.
I've of course said before that T could've had better dialogues (something like "you get x days to prove your innocence" at the crematorium or saying at the execution that "can you prove that you didn't kill? If not, there is unfortunately nothing I can do to stop this")
