If you haven’t watched black and white era Hindi movies, you haven’t watched the real Hindi Cinema. So glad you somehow got to go there and that too with Sujata. 😍. I am also currently binge watching all the older movies and what fun it is. Thank you for this thread. Let’s bring out the glory of black&white cinema. ⭐️

And yes, all the songs you mentioned plus Rasik Balma & Panchhi banoon. Aaja Sanam and Ye raat bheegi bheegi would make it to my top romantic songs playlist every time!

You can't view these movies with a modern lens - they'd fail the wokeness test everytime 😆 but one movie I love watching is Mr. & Mrs. 55. Great songs in this one too. Aar Paar is another stunning music album. So is C.I.D.

Kala Pani and Hum Dono for Dev Anand. They're his best. I love them more than his celebrated Guide. Kala Bazaar is a good movie too.

When I watch modern movies these days I always forward the songs, but with these old movies I'm literally jumping in anticipation of when each song will play out! 😆

I know I'm an odd duck 😆

I have 18 films to watch in the near future but more recommendations are encouraged and very much welcomed🙏
