I don't think the comment is misogynist. I think Alia wanted to tell people that they kiss 💋 alot and so he doesn't want the marks on him. I don't think people need to crusade Ranbir for that simple comment.

First of all asking anyone to remove their make up is at best an obnoxious thing to do, at worst so much worse. People can dress up and present themselves anyway they want to. It’s not anyone else’s business and that includes a partner. By asking her to remove something entirely based on his own likes and dislikes he’s just inserting more control over her.

Second of all based on how Alia mimicked him in the video he didn’t ask her, he barked out orders at her. That’s just toxic. She’s not even allowed to touch his hair but he can dictate if she can wear a lipstick or not?

When she was still dating Sid she appeared on Neha’s radio show and talked about her very first boyfriend. Someone named Arsalan I believe. She actually mentioned that he was becoming possessive and controlling and telling her how to dress so she realized it wasn’t working and ended it. So she knows all the signs. I think when it comes to Ranbir she has regressed a lot and just doesn’t want to admit and accept the toxicity.

I watched the video just now and she said, he liked the natural color of her lip. She is just boasting about her beauty. No need to feel sorry for her. People are just making mountain of a molehill.
