Hello, everyone!

Writing here after ages!

I have more or less stopped watching anything on TV because of my busy schedule. But, my wife wanted to watch something together so we picked this one because of the cast and crew. And I'm kinda disappointed tbh.

The serial tried tackling so many things but couldn't handle them. Barring a couple of issues, none of them were handled properly. Alia was needlessly rude to Salman. The angry-boss-turning-a-lover was something that Indian TV has been pulling for a long time. No novelty here. And yes, the triangle wasn't needed, tbh.

Meena's husband had a sudden change of heart. He was an addict, right? Addictions don't go away like this. However, I liked the 'Deepak' track. It was handled maturely. Also, Meena staying with her husband after all the abuse was also a realistic portrayal.

Saumya's track started off well. But how she was able to make so much money so soon was kinda unrealistic. Having said that, I liked the fact that they left it open-ended.

Agha sb and everyone literally forcing the phupho, a grown-up woman, to get married wasn't a pleasant sight to see. They could have handled this track in a better way. It was a matter of one conversation that Thanvi and Sofia had at the railway station.

The "Mona" track was poorly handled as well. Sexual harassment is a serious topic and should be dealt with seriously as well. Mona's character had a sudden change, which didn't make any sense at all.

Also, the serial could have done without "shakeel". He looked forced and his scene with Tania were least bit funny.

On the positive side, I loved the dialogs. The acting was amazing by everyone, barring a couple of actors. Sajjal and Bilal gave it their everything. Irsa Ghazal was top-notch. Shehryar Munawwar looked stiff at places and they could have taken a better actor for Sofia's role.

U didn't mention sehrish

I loved her the most and she was a classy depiction of empowered women

She was my favorite character of the show and the actress is new but did a marvelous job

I loved her convos with Alia and sherry the most

U also forgot to mention the unique relationship they showed between Bilal and his mom Almas

I have never seen such sensible yet friendly not too preachy yet conveying a message strongly convos between a mom and a son

I wish we had more moms like Almas in Indo pak asian subcontinent

Last but not the least

The love triangle

It was needed and it wasn't cliched even though the set up was common

Loved how uniquely different bond Aliya shared with both the heroes and it was both pure genuine

Sherry was just excellent as Asfar and her chemistry with sajjal is so good

Bilal sajjal is always a treat to watch

The love triangle is what kept me going

Yes, thanks for reminding me. I agree with what you said about her. However, II would have been better if she was a part of the last episode.

I finally found someone on my page ... i started watching it coz of his solid star cast, but lost interest when the elder daughter was married off to a fraud n the story line was trying to justify that .. that was super disappointing for me..

read that they ended redeeming that fraud .. epic

Completely agree here as well. Almas's character was a breath of fresh air when we had dotting mothers like Shammo and Saif's mom.

I also forgot to mention Shagufta. I kinda felt bad for her at the end. Saif led her on for a long time only to leave at the last moment.

Solid disagree here! The love triangle was not needed. Sajjal and Bilal's relationship was building very organically. But Sajjal's character kind of changed when Sherry entered the picture. She became needlessly rude while Salman's concerns were genuine. Yes, he, too, was immature at times. But, nothing out of the line.

Also, as we are talking about Alia, they never showed us how she got so much to pay for the shares. It just happened suddenly. Poor writing here!

She got the money as the commision for the housing scheme. 2% commission for a housing scheme in a huge city will be in crores. Also Aaliya only had to pay phupho and the brother in the US. Aagaji already paid shakeel's father but he didn't had proof of it. In one of the last episodes shakeel gives him the proof.

The writer and director in their iv told they showed Aaliya in thay profession mainly because they wanted her to be in a profession where she can earn a lot of money in a short spam of time. They also agreed they should have been more specific about how she got the money.

I also didn't like the love triangle even though I was very excited about it at the start. The makers completely sidelined salman and pushed Aaliya under the bus for a love triangle where only asfar was relevant. It looked like everything was about Asfar and Aaliya and Salman are just there to move his story forward. Aaliya often behaved out of character just so they can show forced scenes between asfar and Aaliya.

Samiya getting that much money was a little exaggerated unless the jewelleries she made was of gold and diamonds and for a big jewelry shop.

Yes, I know about the 2% commission thing. But even if it's one of the most sought-after societies, plots don't sell this faster. It takes time. In the end, it was all very convenient for her to gather this much money, which was unrealistic, imo.

I completely agree with you about Alia behaving out of character and she and Salman were just there to move Asfar's story. This dragged the serial even though it was only 26-27 episodes long.
