They pushed a lot of his super hits into hits and hits into average. Plus they are clearly ignorant of his early filmography. For example, where is Arjun , a super hit movie, which is one of the most influential movies of Indian Cinema,which also changed his career graph forever? Were are Chaal Baaz, Nigaahen, Dacait, Yateem, Sunny, Yodha, Kshatriya etc?

You could be right. I must have a sub-conscious bias towards mustached men considering that most of the men around me had mustaches at that time. But mostly it is Sunny Paaji's one-tone acting and not-so-handsome mug. The man had no chemistry with his fellow heroes. Anil-Jackie, Amitabh-Shashi all gives that warm vibes.

He's probably India's first true action hero. He also had a very nice smile and expressive eyes. I think he made a great name for himself with his iconic dialogues and action sequences. Unfortunately, he couldn't dance for the life of him.

But unlike Akshay Kumar who evolved from action to comedy to social message films - Sunny never evolved. He also wasn't conventionally handsome like Dharmendra was. So I think Sunny's star faded. Gadar 2 may resonate with nostalgic masses, but I think it is too loud and dated for many audiences.

I liked him in Damini, Ziddi and Kshatriya, although SRK and Darr happened to him😆 I still feel he has immense screen presence

Rather Darr happened to SRK. Yash Chopra overindulged the negative character just to prove a point to the people who rejected that character. He went way out of the script, compromising the main lead’s character and elevating the villain.And SRK was lucky to be in the right place at the right time, which he made complete use of.

Yeah I remember reading something along the similar lines, then apparently he vowed to never work with YRF again, btw who all were originally offered SRK's role?

This is something that Karan Johar's group is doing online. Noticed this with many other stars as well. Manipulating BO figures and rewriting history. They want to make it seem like Queen Alia is the only one who has all these so called fake hit movies.

I think literally every A lister. I believe he even urged Sunny to pick it up but Sunny was adamant to play only the positive characters. Aamir was offered Sunny’s character and Sunny the negative role. So much behind the scenes drama went on. Basically it was the universe conspiring to put Shahrukh Khan on the Hindi Cinema’s map and how!
