On a serious note, upon deep diving into Abeer's psyche ( yeah i had nothing better to do 😁) - i think i see why Abeer is so confused and fickle minded. Abeer has never had a secure life and somebody to lean on and trust. as a child, she always had to be aware of her step dad's intentions. her mum was the only trustworthy person but when all limits were crossed, instead of dropping her vile husband, her mum decides to move Abeer to an unfamiliar country, unfamiliar family. On top of that her mum tries to get rid of Abeer & her responsibility like hot potato.she just wants to get Abeer married and go back to living her life. She tries to get her married to the first guy who agrees (Hamza) and wants to be done with it asap. Abeer again has no one who asks for her opinions or respects her choices. She also has no voice, so she agrees. And then she starts to trust the process, her fiance not only plays with her emotions but also assaults her. And then leaves her alone on wedding day putting a big ? on Abeer's character & action in front of the society making jer question her self worth. Everyone but Abeer decides that if not Hamza let's get the next most eligible guy. To make matters worse, she knows Hannan loves someone else. So to her it looks like Hannan is forced into this wedding,so obviously this relationship is just transactional and she doesn't want to build up her hopes fearing they may get trampled on like how it has been happening to her in forever.
She is conflicted because she likes Hannan but it is too scared to accept it and trust him. She has closed her heart and doesn't want it broken again but then she also cannot deny the need of having a pillar of support. She is vulnerable, but she is scared to open up to Hannan.
Her hurt, her anger, her question of self worth, her lack of trust, her confusion everything is justified BUT neither the director nor the actor is able to convey any of these complexities. They show us no insight to what Abeer or for that matter any of the characters are feeling.
Compare this show to say a Raqeeb Se and how without all this shor gul and dialogbaazi, the actors were able to potray the (much much more complex) emotions so beautifully. So much so that you felt for each and every character. And here is a Sirf Tum jisme director sab sirf tum hi jaante ho ke chal kya raha hai exactly.
