Naval officer, Kannada actress arrested for murder

A naval officer and his girlfriend, a Kannada film actress, were arrested in connection with the murder of creative head of a television production house.

Lieutenant M L Jerome Mathew, 25, and his girlfriend Marraia Monika Susayraj, 27, allegedy killed Neeraj Amarnath Grover, 25, creative head of Synergy Adlabs [Get Quote], on May 7 at Susayraj's apartment in Malad, a Western suburb in Mumbai.

Police suspect the murder was result of a 'love triangle' involving Grover and the two accused.

Mathew is working at Kochi naval base as an aeronautical engineer. Marria has four Kannada movies to her credit. Grover was earlier working with Balaji Telefilms [Get Quote], Joint Commissioner of Police Rakesh Maria said.
