It’s been a few years since I’ve watched it so my memory is fuzzy. Wasn’t it a case of faking her age or something?
I agree with Maroon. It is a very heartwarming story and the funny segments are genuinely funny. Easily one of Jim Carey’s best.
She faked her age, she was actually underage, a minor, when she signed the prenup and got married
"In the great state of California no minor can enter into any legal contract without parental consent including prenuptial agreements, which makes the prenup she signed null and void" - This argument seals it for him, he wins the case, snatches victory from the jaws of defeat at the last moment
So if it's illegal for a minor to sign any contract without parental consent, that should include marriage too, right?
Actually in the state of California (and in almost all states in the USA) a minor has to get parental consent for getting married too, which in her case she did not
Doesn't that make her marraige null and void, in which case she is NOT entitled to half of her husband's assets... Right?
