We all must have heard in several interviews of Lata Mangeshkar on how she is particular about singing songs that have clean lyrics. OTOH, singer S.Janki doesn’t bother much about suggestive lyrics in songs she has sung. Both legends are right on their own accord. Just used these two names for example, but there are many artists who might fall into either category.

Btw, no way I’m saying RG is a legend, but the point is, it is a form of art, hence perceived differently by each of us.

One thing to think about & ask ourselves - what would we do if we were in that or a similar position?

You rightly cited the example of Lata Mangeshkar. But none of today’s stars can even come close to what Didi was. She was god-gifted. Never sang anything with slightest indecent lyrics. Of course, she could be so choosy because she was the best in her game.

I don’t think the artists of today have that kind of liberty right? But I’m inclined to think that it must be frustrating to spout idiotic dialogues day in and day out, especially when there is so much great content on the streaming platforms. ITV really needs to step up.

Her body is stiff. The circles she is making are not as per a kathak dancer.

For her hook step means making hook with hands.. Abhi tak bhasan dete dete hook banati rehti thi, ab dance mei bhi..

What the hell was this sequence though. A Guru like Malti Devi, who is purported to be famous for decades and one who is shown to be devoted to dance and her academy is stooping down to such tactics. Anu the Maa ke sangat mein sab pagal ho jaate hai kya.
