We all must have heard in several interviews of Lata Mangeshkar on how she is particular about singing songs that have clean lyrics. OTOH, singer S.Janki doesn’t bother much about suggestive lyrics in songs she has sung. Both legends are right on their own accord. Just used these two names for example, but there are many artists who might fall into either category.

Btw, no way I’m saying RG is a legend, but the point is, it is a form of art, hence perceived differently by each of us.

One thing to think about & ask ourselves - what would we do if we were in that or a similar position?

There are a LOT of things that go into it, including power dynamics, isn't it?

Some could be contractually bound, some have careers at stake, some out of lack of opportunities. I really don't think actors, may be even directors or writers have a chance otherwise.
