Ranveer has been known to go into profit sharing for many of his films, for Bajirao mastani he didn't charge any fees and instead went into profit sharing, and even if he isnt profit sharing then he isnt known to charge ridiculously high fees for his movies.

And I dont think kjo would take a high salary for a film he is directing and producing, he knows that the economics of a film are very important, and he wouldn't put his own film in jeopardy by taking a huge fee and inflating the budget.

I just think there might be some broader thing going on with the way all the budgets have been hyper-inflated lately. Probably streaming. That's all. 😆

How much is Ranveer’s pay per movie? Because Alia’s is around 12 crores right? The article also claims that KJo paid the three veterans larger than their usual remunerations out of respect. Would all the paychecks come out to around 100cr? Because I can believe that the production cost was around 150.

Movie has to have a phenomenal weekend otherwise it can’t really recover this budget. Unless KJo pulls an ADHM and sells to distributors for 65 crores.

I dont think 265 crore is the budget, I mean even TJMM didn't have a budget that high and they shot in foreign locations, so how can rrkpk have such a high budget? And we know how high rks fees are. The senior members may have got payed well but i do not think they got paid higher than they deserve for being the supporting cast.

I really doubt the reliability of that article.

265 does seem extremely high for a movie shot entirely in India and with no VFX. But as I said above, I can believe this movie was made on a budget of 150 crores due to the massive sets etc, and actors’ fees added to it. These days producers try to hide their movies’ budgets in order to manipulate the verdicts and the result ends up being that someone will “leak” a budget that may or may not be accurate and oops 🤷🏽‍♀️

Neither do I believe Karan paying people out of the generosity of his heart. Streaming Wars have inflated salaries and that's probably why he has to pay extra. I am assuming Netflix or something accounts for the bulk of the economic recovery here.

I believe TJMM had budget of 200 cr . I also feel RK did this movie as a favour to Luv Ranjan . RK did say this was his last rom com , thank lord 🙏 he had enough ! AND the producers, director , RK knew about the over budget , that’s why they never said anything about it. The movie had been in making for over 3 yrs with no controlled budget , Luv ranjan Fdd up.

RS really needs a hit , a clean hit movie n which his performance being appreciated . Hopefully it works 🤞
