Arnav became my crush in the pandemic. MAN! He is the first man I have wanted to kill and understand at the same time. He made me confront all my hypocrisy 🤣.

My best friend and I have this concept: There are two kinds of hot:

A) Hot with context: That is you think someone is hot because you know them, you have context and their behavior makes them attractive and sexy.

B) Hot without context: Needs no explanation. For example: John Abraham when he walks in, in the movie Pathan. OH MY GOD. And of course, everytime ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA removes his aviators. Enough Said!

One more time. I guess I am not phrasing things well. Why is he willing to give up everything he professes to love? Why is not having kids more important than marriage, wife he supposedly loves and family he supposedly loves? If he loves and values them and is doing all of the things supposedly out of love for them, why is he knowingly hurting them, and giving them up? Why isn’t he fighting to keep them in his life?

What happened and the secret it involves is obviously so traumatic it supersedes everything else in his personal life. It only starts to surface seriously when the question of having children is raised. It becomes so dominate in his personal relationships that he is willing to give up everything rather than face his demons and that involves getting help which he was unwilling to do. Until that is addressed all of our other discussions are superficial, which is interesting, but not getting to the root causes of the problem.

I always end up missing out on the funniest of discussions. I was in school when the show aired and would watch the re-runs in the afternoon. I was not aware of IF and this world of fandom that had 2 sides to it. I discovered this forum sometime later in 2015 when quite a lot of the talented writers decided to quit.

I would be going through pages and threads to find chapters and good FF only to see quite a few of them suddenly closed or left incomplete.

A few incomplete ones that break my heart are Tewari & sons (The author did come back but I guess she got held back by AD) and 101 letters (one of the sweetest stories)

There were also some good angsty or redemptions ones by lazyleaves but the author took them down.

The forum had turned nasty by the time I found my love for FFs because of rude readers and plagiarism. But I am so glad to be around this time to experience the fever first-hand. All of you guys seem so much fun.

Thank you so much, Arpita for breathing life into this fandom again.

And *drumrolls* while waiting for the next update. I hope AD is treating you well.

This is a great way to put things into perspective at this juncture. we know already that Khushi was more than willing to give up the idea of the children. In fact, when she came back from Lucknow, she was glad that even Arnav’s family finally understood and he won’t face any pressure from them whatsoever. And she did all this when Arnav was pushing her away relentlessly. Precisely the reason guilt almost paralysed Arnav after reading her letter.

so it does demand this question. What is he willing to do for Khushi? Especially now that he has realized just how much his wife had actually loved him all these years. He confessed to himself that he knew of her love, but the depth of it kept him stunned.

When I raised that before someone interpreted that as him being able to work as much as he wanted. But he is not finding happiness in his work. We know he is into extreme sports (good that he keeps his will up to date) and that he likes photography, nature.

I am wondering what his future plans are. Using the word future makes me wonder that it’s more than work.

he did think to himself that his work was enough to bring him fulfilment in life, but it’s not enough for Khushi or his family who have domestic dreams like having a child.

That is more important than his marriage, love for Khushi, and his family. The point is he is willing to lose all of the above rather than face it and seek help. The letter has nothing to do with my question. Finding the letter and deciding he wants Khushi back is not addressing the issue. That happened after he was willing to lose everything.

The scenario I described is an alternate universe to make a point.

I was trying to highlight that it is the driving force for the story. Not infidelity. Otherwise why even have La ONS in the story that led to pregnancy. Now non pregnancy. It is not companionship, it is not attraction. He has no interest in her.

Also his adventure trips only happened after Khushi brought up kids issue. It is like he had buried whatever happened and it reared his head after that conversation.

I made an assumption..but the changes started taking place since then.

This is also why I pointed out the fact that people want him to take on Lavanya head on, but are forgetting that Lavanya is not some two bit actress. She has generational wealth and comes from old money and has played the dirty game much much longer than Arnav! If he hesitates to take her on, I don’t blame him!

I took it literally when he said that la was after his money (or attraction) to Aman after IUD reveal. Also the threat to her career to Manali..implying that he can take her on.
