While your perspective is well-reasoned, I would like to tell my opinion that Akshara's choices and actions need to be understood within the context of her complex circumstances. Being a law student doesn't necessarily provide her with infallible judgment, especially when she's in emotionally charged situations. Emotions can cloud even the best judgement, and this can be even more potent when it comes to the wellbeing of a loved one.
Yes, sending Abhir away might seem cruel, but it could also be interpreted as a desperate attempt to shield him from the escalating conflict. Akshara's goal has consistently been to protect Abhir, even if her actions sometimes seem contradictory.
As for the surgery, the delay doesn't necessarily equate to a lack of concern for Abhir. Akshara could have been grappling with a difficult dilemma - the immediate physical wellbeing of her son versus the potential emotional harm of revealing the truth. Neither option is free from potential harm, making this a morally complex decision.
Concerning the legal battles, while Abhimanyu might not have initiated them, his active participation indicates his willingness to engage in the conflict. Akshara's decision to study law and be prepared to fight shows her determination to protect her son's interests. It's not necessarily a sign of aggression or confrontation.
Your final point about hypocrisy is compelling, but it's worth noting that human behavior is often filled with contradictions. People are flawed, and sometimes their actions do not align with their words or beliefs, especially under stress or duress. This inconsistency makes Akshara a more realistic and relatable character, albeit one that can be difficult to fully understand or agree with.
@bold - Agree with this part and I think it applies to all characters. However, I would use it to support Abhimanyu’s side more since he seems to be the only one right now who has been shown willing to look at his own faults, rectify them and grow as a person. People go through stress yes, but they find ways to improve and manage the situation- how long are we going to wait to see Akshara taking control of her life- the Akshara we saw in initial promos of the leap? And yes you are right - she is indeed a very difficult character to agree with. I even find Arohi more sorted and believable as a character compared to her.
Your views are very different from mine and I do not think I will agree with Akshara even if I understand her. In fact, the more I understand her motives and priorities the more I end up disliking her behavior! All characters have made poor choices in the show at some point. But a few have grown more and become wiser compared to their old selves and in my opinion Akshara doesn’t fall into that list yet. Abhimanyu is less angry, Arohi is more considerate and less selfish, but Akshara?
All leads have been shown to go through trauma and made questionable choices in their lives. When things are going smooth everyone can be an angel, its when things get tough and people are emotionally charged that the true test of their strength and character begins. Many falter - some learn from mistakes and others keep repeating them. The kind of moral dilemmas Akshara gets stuck with - would suit a fresh college graduate but not a mother of 6 year old boy. I wish I get to see a better version of Akshara someday but I am not hopeful!
But our choices seem too different to agree to each other. I would prefer characters more reasonable and logically sound than those driven mostly by emotions. Although, it would be ideal to have a character who can balance mind and heart both - but we don’t have any in this show!
