Yes, I got your opinion about SRK already a long time ago, dear...😊

I want to say to mahnoor that focus on your flop career instead of dissing the legend
I think he is a fab actor.
Dilip Kumar was called Nat Samrat and was first one to focus on method acting, voice modulation, body language, studying psychology of characters, focusing on camera angles etc.
He was never called overactor. He has done all sorts of roles well and was guru of many other actors be it Amitabh, Dharam, Rajesh Khanna, SRK himself etc.
He was better known for tragedy roles but it does not mean he was monotonous.
Today his films are dated and that style of acting is considered theatrical or less natural.
But at that time only he, Ashok Kumar, Balraj Sahni, Guru Dutt focused on nuances of body language, voice, diction.
Today we have more natural or relatable style of acting so modern audience may feel DK had no charisma or glamour or his style is dated or boring.
Chalo forget DK. Even Naseer, Om, Nawaz, Aamir, Saif, Hrithik, Manoj, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay are better actors than SRK. That is a fact that SRK is a severely limited actor and has literally 3 or 4 films which can be said to have some serious acting chops or depth or some different versatile role.
SRK remains SRK in each film. The man has never become the character and got under skin of characters he plays. CDI is the the only film where he became the character and let go of his typical mannerisms and style.
atominis, you totally forget to mention the connect with the audience...with all the actors you mentioned.
The most skilled actors aren't successful without this connection - be it theatre, films or shows.
So, whatever your take on an actor's acting is, the relation between him (and for actresses = her) and the audience is what counts.
One can repeat over and over again how bad/mediocre/repeating/ good/ great/outdated/ modern someone enacts the given character according to the own opinion...until now some are still icons of Hindi Cinema, some still stars, some not really popular.
You won't never convince anyone who likes SRK in most of the movies he did that he is a bad actor, only playing himself, not going into character...and honestly...is that even important to repeat when not really analysing his acting in detail...with explicit examples? Everything else is just superficial judgement, imo (respective to each actor/actress).
Salman has that connect with masses. So?Originally posted by: Clochette

SRK ruins dramatic scenes with his overacting. He ain't a detailed actor either.
@bold:This. He ruins dramatic scenes with his overacting. He is the worst in emotional scenes.Originally posted by: atominis

SRK fans make fun of Salman's acting when their idol himself ain't a good actor.
