Honestly, I have never heard anyone mention handsome as one of the main adjectives when describing him. Not even his fans. So this aint newsflash. (I personally thought he looked very handsome in K3G though.)

But he just has that X factor which makes him stand out. He is very intelligent, witty, charismatic, and just has that presence (which is very important in this field). Many with looks and height have not been able to achieve half of what he did.

He would have done well no matter which profession he chose.

Please give context. She said he is not conventionally handsome. But because of his charming personality can carry the role of the romantic hero better than anyone. He is proof looks are not everything. It is never fair to give a quote without the context before and after it.

As an SRK fan, I will confess that Shahrukh Khan is one of the world's most valuable and powerful brands. He does not have the conventional hero looks. He does not have the acting chops that mediocre-looking people have to establish themselves in the industry. He has embedded himself in the industry and in the hearts of millions on account of his charisma, wit, and intellect. The man knows how to present himself. I see this as a compliment on his personality and industry acumen.

I agree with her about him being not conventionally good looking. Because it's not just about features but the entire aura that makes a person. SRK is insanely charming, witty, intellectual, very very presentable, carries himself like a boss yet very simple. That's what makes him the SRK.

But calling him someone who can't act, madam went a bit too far with that. SRK has many films in his kitty where he has showcased his acting chops. No, it has nothing to do with his success, the BO result but how he carried out/lived those characters. To be a good actor one doesn't have to look good or be successful. Their talent speak for themselves.

As a SRK fan, I, may not agree with many of his choices (in films). Even his recent & BW's biggest success, didn't make me feel what I felt watching him in films like Swades, CDI, K3G, DS etc. I was VERY happy for him but that's not the SRK makes me go "I'm so in love" while watching him onscreen yet it doesn't take away the fact he CAN act. Better than many.

He may not be the best actor but then the best actors can't make me watch their films because they simply don't interest me enough to watch them for 2+ hours. Being best actor is not just about acting. It's about relativity, screen presence, being able to make your audience glued to their screen for as long as you are on it. Just like being handsome is not about looking good. So many actors/people is general looks good but the moment they open their mouth, you cringe or has the bland personality.

Anyway first time I am hearing something negative from the other side towards our Rukhu, otherwise the mutual love is immense :)
