@bold - This may sound bad, but I think Angad has trouble thinking for himself. And I am not saying this because I am bashing his character. This is based on observation.
In the very beginning of TMD, Inder made a comment that Akaal treated everyone like his puppets on a string. I think Angad is one of those puppets not just for Daarji but for his family. He runs around trying to please his family and is suffering because he never thinks about himself and what he wants. He is always doing what is best for the family which turns out to be detrimental for him every time.
For example, proceeding to marry Sahiba was what was best for the family, but it caused him agony. Getting Gary married to Seerat was what he did to keep the family together, but has created this triangle for him that may cause great strife later on. He even decided to let Sahiba go to school based only on the fact that he thought it would be best for the family which of course upset Daarji and it of course upset Sahiba because it was not in support of her dream but solely based on the fact that it was best for the family.
@bold - The one decision we do see him taking was as you said, renovating the shop which no one knows about in his family (except Veer). Which is why Sahiba asked what will he do when his family finds out.
So I agree that for once he needs to think about what he wants in regard to his relationship with Sahiba which is going to cause him to go against his family who apparently despises her.
Sahiba is the same as Angad. She is always thinking about family first. The decision to help Kiara was for family. Her decision to marry Angad was for family. The only move she has made to do something for herself is to go to college and that’s only because of Ms. Menka’s harsh but true words. Sahiba too needs to think about what she wants in regard to the relationship.
Angad controls the entire Brar Jewellery Business. I agree with some of your points that he's always trying to please his family members specially Daarji but which married man throws his wife to the Servant's Quarters right after their wedding?
I won't go much into detail as to what misbehaviour he has done with Sahiba. As a family man Angad is a top notch son but as a husband he's a complete failure.
Didn't Sahiba become a part of the family once he married her? Does he understand the concept of wedding? I never saw Shivaay throwing Anika into the Servant's quarters even though he married her forcefully. That does not mean that Shivaay didn't have any flaws.Unlike Angad the guy had started to fall/love his wife but failed to see or detect the evil designs of his own family members-luckily his siblings Omkar and Rudra were supportive unlike Garry.
Shivaay both loved and hated Anika with equal ferocity.Angad is not Shivaay but when he will start thinking for himself? He's himself not clear whom does he want-Sahiba or Seerat?
Manbeer failed to input such values in Angad. She had only trained Angad in the art of being a puppet either at the hands of Daarji or even Garry for that matter.
Yes he does not love Sahiba/he even does not trust her still has doubts so why does not he divorce her then?
Instead of supporting Sahiba or rather trying to find out the reason why is Sahiba being blamed all the time he indulges in the same blame game.Even he's a failure when it comes to saving his own family members whether it's Daarji or Kiara.
Sahiba has no support system in that house except Veer perhaps.Angad has to start asserting himself first. He needs to draw the line between criticism and unfair Character assassination when it comes to his family members with regards to Sahiba.
If his character changes after 300 episodes then it's not much worth bcoz it's entirely Sahiba who changed him he did not initiate that change within himself on his own.
What does Angad want from his life? When will he accept that he has a responsibility apart from his family? I don't know how will Sahiba or for that matter both fall for each other but Sahiba is already doing her part of being a dutiful wife where is Angad's role here?
He has that selective amnesia when it comes to Sahiba.
