Love this! His current behavior in the present would have been consistent with his past self if his initial traits weren't so vastly altered by the actor thereby completely making him into Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (now). Lots of slaps removed and what not. I wish the actor was consistent till the end. It seems like they gave up making changes towards the end with keeping him soft and gentle. They reverted him back to as he was initially written for the last episodes
He was always meant as a very grey fedual lord with some humane moments. But that was heavily altered hence the sudden trauma we got when he turned 180 degrees.
Meerab remained flawed and consistent in her mistakes. But murtasim went from Demi God state of qyamat tak promises to being more fickle than a house of cards in nano seconds. The utter disassociation this caused in the hearts and minds of people were seismic.
And this is the crux of why TB took a hurculian fall. Just shameful.
They should have either kept him grey since the beginning as written with no changes or keep the changes of him being soft and gentle till the very end. TB failed at structural level that is character arc and writing. Tsk tsk.

For me, this is a matter of approach. I am personally of the opinion that an actor shouldn't alter a character so much that it changes the essence of the character or alters major plot points. In fact, now that I know that MR was in the plot, I don't think Wahaj should've made the changes he did because Murtasim's character is very inconsistent now.
To me, it makes sense that Yumna wouldn't change her character's flaws because the character was grey to begin with. Her character's most flowed actions were clear catalysts for significant plot points, so there's not much that can be done without changing major tracks. For example, Meerab finally agreeing to helping Myriam run away dictated the plot of the next 8 episodes (Murtasim saving the day, losing trust in Meerab, etc). Meerab slapping Murtasim becomes the catalyst for the later transgression and running away. As an actor, there's a difference between changing a few lines and changing the entire story. From a technical perspective, I've found Yumna's acting performance the strongest in the show
However, when it comes to accepting Tere Bin as a storyline in its totality, I am disappointed in both actors and the team.
