A couple or here the husband has filed for divorce. Why does a best friend state the obvious that how will your wife, who worships you and loves you, will move on in life?

It is nothing but Emotional blackmail. Serves no purpose but folks do pass useless statements. If I remember right so did Arnav that she Payal knows he tried and it did not work.

Regarding Arnav and his musing about his fragile wife..will address it separately.

I get it. However, Payal’s statement wasn’t standalone or unprovoked. Arnav was telling her that he believed this was in Khushi’s best interest too. (And I myself as a writer have defended Arnav in the past for this notion) but Payal is not me. She is blunt in the face of anger and agony as well. Akash had to calm her down and tell her that she has a habit of blowing the fuse and she doesn’t end up reaching Arnav.

She didn’t do it to blackmail him to do anything. So she said what she believed was true. And the thing is, it WAS true. Khushi had made a mistake of making her marriage her EVERYTHING. And Arnav knew it too. Payal had only asked if he truly thought Khushi would move on and he fell silent. He had told himself the uncomfortable thought of Khushi moving on with someone. He just didn’t say it to Payal.

His ultimate end to the conversation was telling payal to shut up basically. No wonder these two are friends. 😅😅😅They’re alike in temperament.

I mean payal didn’t hold back her tongue when she was supposedly comforting Arnav on Akash’s suggestion. She believed he was hurting, was trying to knock some sense into him. Dropped the pill bomb on his head. And even in that situation told him that she hoped Khushi gets someone better than him. 😂😂😂 (I seriously loved writing it. I could imagine payal trying to curb her anger on Arnav’s stupidity and then finally bursting) Payal throughout this story, is the only character who is calling things as they are. In short, she has no filter.

So yeah. I think it was common knowledge just how traditional and old school Khushi was when it came to marriage because Arnav himself was worried if she still held on to those beliefs. Which is why it’s my reasoning that it wasn’t emotional blackmail. Just a very heated conversation between friends. Akash and Payal were both PISSED at him since prologue. Obviously they didn’t react well to the whole news.

Writerji your portrayal of khushi's agony and loss was beautiful just as it remained me of the ticking time bomb in hand as the things spiralled out much faster than expected !!

Hats of to you for churning up a plethora of emotions while thinking of khushi who tried to mend both the ends but at last ended in futile...

no you’re not missing anything. I can just give you my reasoning behind their absence.

Divorce is a highly sensitive topic in northern regions of India. I’m sure that’s the case everywhere, but I can only draw from my experience. Families go silent after YEARS of close relationships. They cannot get up and do anything when both Arnav and Khushi had told them they wanted this. What could they have asked Khushi to do? Talk some sense into Arnav who had told them with finality this was the done deal. Whether they reached out to their own son or not is yet to be seen in coming chapters, but they will not reach out to Khushi or her family as far as my experience goes.

I don’t think Khushi even informed her in laws about her visit. She had her phone switched off for the whole month. So even if there were attempts, she dodged it. Back in Mumbai, I don’t think she wanted to talk to anyone. She was dodging even Payal’s call.

Khushi didn’t even want to stay in the same city or be in touch with people who had any link with Arnav. Why would she call her in laws no matter how close they were. And now we know she knew about cheating. She was DONE with him. Which is why her parents forcing her back sucks more. She is simply done with everyone at this point.

I was so excited to realise that you had updated and quickly set to read.. But somehow I soon realized where this one was going to end. All the emotions that Khushi went through, majorly her pain was heightened just because I knew what happened on the day of her anniversary. Trust me, I so wanted to know the details but at the same time I was wary of reading about it. So the first time, i quickly scrolled through that part. Then I went back to the previous chapters to read the contents of Khushi's letter. And then came back to read the last part here.

It was a punch to the gut to say the least.

As a woman, even reading about another woman facing the truth of her husband's infidelity on the day of her anniversary, realising that every truth of your life as a married woman, will probably not remain so....and then going to that party to perform your wifely duties. It was just too much.

Arnav messaged her about that party, and informed about the guests who were going to be there in the afternoon, so he was expecting her to perform her 'wifely duties'. That.. when he had divorce papers in his hand?

I had written earlier, doesn't Arnav realise how much his heart yearns for Khushi.

Now I want to ask, did he ever truly love her or was that just an illusion of his mind? How can a man so much in love with his wife once upon a time cheat upon her? And apparently he still cares for her.

And what grace she has displayed!!! She did not utter a word about it not only her family but also the friends who were so close

This part has evoked such strong emotions in me. I just hope if ever a woman goes through such a situation in life, God be with her. May she have the strength to fight for her own identity, to be able to leave behind such a man, move ahead and be the master of her own life.

This is one reason i always believe woman should be self dependent from before marriage so that if ever such a situation arises, they are not deprived of their dignity, they have a path they can walk on and be able to look people in the eye without feeling answerable for actions of her partner.

Still, really looking forward to read next.

Thank you Shveta. ♥️♥️♥️

I knew Arnav was going to gutter with this update. As I said, I was ready for him to have the worst kind of juta/chapal virtual beating 😅😅😅

He was jerk. Through and through. At least from Khushi’s pov. Pushing her away and then her finding out in this manner was my last push to Arnav’s character as well. I know I have the set ending in my mind, but it has been fascinating to read just how much this ASR has pissed people off 😅😂

I have read this ff based on the characterization. But I don't find Khushi views on marriage to be traditional.

Will be back later. As Sunday morning beckons me with chores😏

Over 200 years but Austen words still holds. Wonder how many Lavanyas will be interested in him if he strip him of his wealth. Or he loses his charming looks

This is something i have said after the very initial chapters...if you have read my previous comments and if you can remember, I wanted the photos to get leaked and arnav to face a major set back in business, loose out huge money and wealth...my reason for wishing all that was because of the same reason. Will L be still in her supposed "love" if he becomes the old poor arnav from ten years back again?

I sincerely feel that he needs to go back to that phase of his life without khushi this time to realize what she actually brought to the table for all those years.

I think it was Swati’s comment where I first asked this question to you guys. I find this angle insanely interesting.

What will Arnav be willing to do for Khushi in that same scenario? What kind of sacrifice will Arnav make for Khushi, if faced with the same situation again?

He had once said to her that she made it possible for him to even think of a side job. Was he just cheering her up? We don’t know yet what Arnav thinks of his current wealthy status and just how much of it he owes to Khushi.

Arpita, I wanted to refrain from saying more but just can’t help it.

Even if there are reasons for his affair (please bear with me I kind of hate myself for even writing this), and Arnav genuinely feels that working on their marriage is the best thing or he was like the best husband for 9 years.

I don’t think Khushi will ever be able to erase those images from her mind (don’t they say visuals have more impact). No matter how hard she tries.

Today arnav might want to work and he may do everything but he is human after all (no matter how many notes he writes to himself).

So there will come a time where Khushi will despise herself, Arnav everything to a point that she will become really bitter in Life.

Khushi was ready for a job in NGO in Lucknow, she was just not ready for marriage. Anyways what has happened has happened.

She might not have the will right now but sometimes a little understanding can help a person more than any money or physical comforts. I don’t know how but that’s all she needs now.

She does not have to get married again right now, that’s not even the solution.

Also, I was reading an article on infidelity and according to it if one decides to stay married to the person who cheated , they will have to forgive the cheater completely. Khushi may change as a person but will have to let go of this. (But that depends only if she wants to stay married, ultimately it should be her decision ).

I could not agree more. ♥️♥️♥️♥️I have time and again said that cheating will never let a relationship be same. Ever again. First hurdle, Khushi wouldn’t even believe Arnav loves her the way she had believed he loved her. She is questioning the entire decade. Because how do you hurt a person you claimed to love so much!?

Second hurdle, even if she forgives him, Lavanya would almost always be present between them like a ghost. As one comment said earlier, Arnav may literal have to move heavens for her to believe he ever loved her and she may still choose not to do so.

Third point, the article and even real life experiences say the same thing. You HAVE to find it in yourself to forget the cheating part completely because if you keep bringing it again and again, only a saintly partner would tolerate it for life. Things may turn bitter at times.

Now next week you guys will have a closure on Arnav’s involvement with Lavanya and it’s extent. Then you guys decide if he needs to move a mountain for her forgiveness or if there exists no mountain that can redeem him :).

I already have the end ready in my head, but I cannot tell you how eagerly I would await for the comments. Arnav had so much beating and chappals with the teaser…let’s see what you guys do with the whole film 😂😂😂

Arpita honestly, I am unable to think anything from arnav's pov. As much as i try to see things from a rational non-partial view but I am just not able too.

My mind is just fogged with khushi's heart wrenching condition. I told you very first day remember, that cheating triggers the WORSSSSST in me, it actually does, the intensity is just too much.

I was able to understand arnav atleast at some miniscule level till the second last update, but from the last update with that cliffhanger ending i just can't anymore, i am totally driven by khushi's emotion. May be being a women it effects all the more.

All i keep on thinking is just how passionately she has loved arnav, that woman has literally lived for arnav all this years, made him her whole existence. Saying, "I will like any life with you". And then to go through this.

The magnitude of hurt that he has caused khushi can NEVER be healed, atleast doesnot in real life. She can NEVER un-see what she have seen. Physical wounds can be seen, measured, healed but the irony of emotional wounds is none of this can be done, even when they are so so much more worse than physical wounds. If shyam killed his wife, arnav did too. He killed her very will of living, which is worst than an one time death. Getting up and going through the day everyday feeling like this is the worst. Living your whole life with his feeling is the worst.

I keep on torturing myself with all this thoughts.

And arpita about your query about shortening the updates, no don't. I think the fact that there is so much happening and also it is some time since the chapters are up and most of us are not going back to read because of emotional toll, may be somethings gets missed out. Also the prime reason is our emotional reaction is so strong towards the story that it doesn't let atleast me, think rationally for quite sometime. Once the suspense gets covered we all will have clearer picture.

Also arpita another song suggestion, listen to- ek tukda dhoop ka from khushi's pov and let me know. Its on loop today in my playlist.

I hope just like this film at the end even khushi could take steering of her life and can drove her car.

Toot ke hum dono may jo bacha voh kamsa hai

Ek tukda dhoop ka andar andar naam sa hain

Socho zara hum kya thee, kya se kya hogaye

Hijr wali raato ki hya qabron may so gae

Ho tum humare jitne thee

Sach kaho kya utne thee

Janee do maat kaho kitne thee

Rasta hum dono may jo bacha woh kam sa hai.

Arpita have you thought of writing professionally? If not please do so, you are so good with words, what, when, how much to reveal is not easy. Even with very good writers stories can become predictable.

Also, on least question, how many chapters for Arnav and Lavanya’s love story?
