I agree, Manik should not be grieving when he meets Shilpa. He could have moved to Panchgani (that was the place that they had gone in the show too), he can first look at her in the Prabhat pheri and then the hospital. (All this is if you want inspiration bro the show and they are still doctors).
Personally, I would like them to have met in Delhi, or work in PGI, Chandigarh and meet often on morning jogs at Sukhana lake.
