Abhinav cannot be discussed here without victimising Abhimanyu. The very first para on this thread says "people start instead talking about how Abhi was much worse" as if people cannot even bring up a wrong being done by a redeemed Abhimanyu at all.

(Not imposing yourself in an ex's family home is a basic courtesy all of us should be extending to our exes. None of us would want to live with our partner's ex intruding upon our private functions, fights etc etc. OR maybe some do enjoy having their husband's/wife's old flame intruding upon their private conversations without feeling any discomfort because their husband/wife are better partners to them than they were to their ex. What do I know?)

But Abhinav's flaws according to thread is :

Being Abhir's legal father which is a flaw because he is but also Abhimanyu is the legal father so contradictions contradictions contradictions

Crying privately and feeling occasional self-doubt when his wife's ex MIL shamelessly asks him to leave his family. I agree because a normal person would have slapped the shit out of her, but then violence is not an accha thing so Accha admi didn't do it.

Almost every debate ends in a similar style- Abhinav’s flaws are justified because of the mistakes made by Abhimanyu! Many claim they want a justice for Akshara but all they really wish to see is a twisted tale of vengeance. And because Akshara has suffered, all her decisions should be respected and accepted no matter how illogical or unreasonable they are.

We are tired of these nonsensical comparisons between the two male leads - its unfair to judge either character according to the other’s actions. And thats one of the main issues with the current track - everything Abhinav does is good because he is the one doing it, when Abhimanyu does a good deed - there’s a hidden agenda or he’s disturbing their marital life. People keep justifying Abhinav’s action using Abhimanyu’s mistakes as a reference that oh he is better than the guy whi divorced and so on... If Abhimanyu’s responsible for his failed marriage after all that he went through then Abhinav himself is responsible for the issues in his married life. Him being overly selfless and naive is a flaw - anything in extreme is harmful - excessive neediness or selflessness is also an issue just like extreme anger. Comparing these flaws and saying which one is better to have is immature and childish. How harmful such excessive emotions can be - can only be determined when a situation arises to test it. Abhimanyu’s anger was tested on white day and he failed. Similarly Abhinav’s selflessness and neediness are definitely slowly creating trouble in the so called perfect family. Why should Abhimanyu refuse the chance to stay and bond with his son just because Akshara wants to move on- its not his battle to fight? Abhimanyu tried to help Abhinav financially for the wedding with the hotel bookings - Akshara understood but she was ready to take help from him without informing Abhinav - she could have easily refused and done things as per their budget - but she wishes to have best of both worlds. Why should Abhimanyu feel responsible for Akshara keeping things from her husband? He never asked her to do it. Whatever issues are being shown between Abhinav - Akshara are of their own doing. No third person or ex can come between a couple who truly understand and trust each other completely.

It's twisted logic. That abhim is being crucified everyday for that 1 day alone and akshu is being justified for being wronged that day. There r hundreds of epis before and after and all of them point towards the same thing .

Firstly nobody is taking away anything from abhimanyu. It's him who wants ALL , he won't settle with spending time with his son and being a part of his life ...he not only wants abhir , he would want abhirs mummy also .... Tell me can he deal with the baggage that would come with the truth of their divorce just incase abhir knows it ? First time he agreed to akshus terms of not telling abhir know the complete truth as it will scar him , it's bec dr Birla is the villain there And he would def not want abhir to know it all. Did he tell ruhi how Neil died ?

Secondly there r ppl who justifies the flaws of all these chars so why just say abhinavs flaws r being justified ? Also it's natural that when we talk about the actions of a particular character, the context will be in comparison to other chars bec none are stand alone ..they are acting and reacting ..Comparisons will be there .

Firstly I have never claimed Abhimanyu to be a better person or that he should get everything he wants. The only thing I want for him in story is a redemption track - and that doesn’t mean that I want Abhira as endgame. Secondly, all I implied was that there should be fair discussion regarding flaws of every character without using Abhimanyu’s actions or mistakes as the benchmark for such judgements. I do enjoy Abhimanyu’s character more - that’s a personal choice - but I do not intend to justify all his wrongdoings - I agree he took extreme steps when hurt or angry - for which a redemption is definitely needed.

But I believe it is foolish to use his mistakes to cover up mistakes made by others. What he did was wrong - agreed but when will people realize that those wronged by him have also made their fair share of mistakes!? If we keep comparing one character to the other - it does not make much sense in my opinion since both come from very different backgrounds and such comparisons will only rile up people here because situations and context are different and everyone perceives and weighs things their own way. So such comparisons will always be unfair and unjust and taken out of context. Different perceptions are good but endless the tit for tat contests about who is better or who suffered more or who should suffer more - are futile and don’t lead to anything productive or positive in my view. So all this just means that you and I may probably never be on the same page. And its okay. I have said what I think and there’s not much to add. I hope the story shows progress in all characters instead of glorifying just one.
