I tried to get tickets again today. Two day break from my part time summer job. Not even playing in theatre that plays the most Bollywood movies. Who did the distribution? If they are in charge of Sam Bahudar. I will legit murder them if I don’t get to see that movie.

Worst casting for the movie.
The dialogues even worse. What kind of language, costumes, set up they did. 600 crores worth. Kaha gaya sara paisa

The affection for Modi shows how popular the man is...and rightly so. The moment Modi became the 'Father of the Nation' he cultivated a certain kind of popularity he already had as CM of Gujarat which has less to do with his tasks as a politician and more with his persona.

What I like about Indians (among many other things) is their emotiveness (of course in both directions - negative-positive - a lively example of the coexistence of opposites. That can be endearing, that can be appaling.

Relative to himself, he would always try to evade everything about which he is insecure of being able to handle it, avoid being taken by surprise and/or showing insecurity about finding the secure way through the slippery ground of politics.

And he has mighty (and financially powerful) supporters (or better said beneficiaries) who will do everything possible to keep this man on the position that suits them. They would even tolerate his dream of a Hindu supremacy and some other ideas as they don't care about India as such but predominently about their own empire.

I think, that Modi genuinely cares but I get the impression that he is quite angry that there are so many, many who still don't function the way obedient and loving children/followers would do. However he really tried/tries the very best: Mann Ki Baat, media outlets, BJP IT cell, paid influencers, agencies, filmindustry, etc...he was/is the first PM to use all possible means.

I don't hate Modi, I just don't trust him. Yet would I ever trust a person that misuses power?

the problem with those who dislike modi is that they believe it is him who is taking most of the decisions. he is the poster boy of bjp. the crowd puller. it is the rss which is a strong strong unit which is taking the call.

not fond of modi group are of various kind

one- true secular. they believe India as it was in the past was good. decisions like demonetisation was bad.

two - supporters of political parties including congress- for obvious reasons

three - muslims especially radical muslims- they were building a muslim world gradually in India which has been controlled , put on hold or we can say ended. there were lakhs of muslim immigrants every year hence the caa nrc. the terrorism has been controlled as well. abrogation of article 370 from an indian perspective is a very good decision which may not go well with muslim sympathisers.

i for one believe they are pushing bit too much the religion card which is not going to do any good to the nation. nations like pakistan is an example.

No one is calling Om or Manoj anti Hindu, anti national or ISI agents nor has anyone filed cases against them yet or accused them of being on payroll of Dawood or protested outside their houses or attacked theatres.

Saif is already being bashed as a Jihadi and is the only one being bashed among all actors of this film.

it is the repercussion of radical muslims in india. repercussion of their actions. it will take some more time to settle down. going by the current trend even muslims will understand what it means to be religious fanatics and how dangerous and troublesome it is.

Maybe true. There was a section that did not even let Taslima Nasreen land in India or got books of Rushdie banned or attacked theatres at time of Bombay, Hey Ram, Gadar.

No one wrote columns on intolerance or radicalism then.

Some backlash was a given. Or others could have been inspired by same aggression and thought being aggressive is important to get things own way.

Secular parties did go slow and soft on this lot. And their double standards benefitted and led to rise of BJP.

I agree with your analysis and I guess it will take time to dissipate once all are tired of their respective anger outbursts.
