I don't watch too many itvs so wouldn't know the current situation. But it was a pleasant surprise for fl and Jai discussing about periods which has been an icky topic or taboo to be spoken in public.
If only they try to execute things in a little subtle and matured manner, it would be a great track.
Jai bunder comes across as a neo feminist who cannot mind hid business. But if they had given a proper background inro about him we would be able to digest his character better. But now all that we feel ks repulsion.
Let's not talk about Sathya just like we have stopped discussing Vidhi's clothes and why she was seen in auto🤔
Agree on the subtlety and better execution. For the lack of a better term Jai is coming across as bipolar. There are parts of his personality I can agree with, but in general he is extremely unlikeable. Why would he go from the way he spoke to vidhi about her being a gold digger unwilling to do hard work - to forcing her to dance with him - and now to seeing himself in the role of her savior in less than a span of 3 weeks.
They did the same thing with Amba - but we had over 7 months to get to understand Amba and her perspective and now over 5 months to watch her spiral. Her final descent into madness while also rushed is atleast palatable.
One thing about the makers - the only character they have actually left untouched is Amba - she started off on a high note and is ending on the same note. And I think sneha’s professionalism and the way she is with her coworkers - her dedication to her work is all part of of her success.
I am not saying that IQ and rachana are not all this - they are - but being the male and female lead comes with it’s own periods of character assassinations. But as far as male leads go, Dev has fared a lot better than others.
All this to say - I think it is better for me not to focus on satya at all. Neither the character nor the actor who plays her. Her narcissism is extremely off putting. She’s made the whole thing the Deepshika show, and I am not here for that. Maybe part of it is my fault too for being tuned in/aware of the behind the scenes experience - but I found it to be way too toxic , in a way that it is affecting the way I perceive the show as well.
Off my soapbox now.
