Again a light episode...with little bit of 'Kheechatani' that it part of any pre- wedding organization...a nice build up to upcoming twist whatever that may be..
Sharing some random thoughts today:
Non- verbal communication: Manjority of Non- urban India has a joint family system. Overall, an open talk between a husband and wife is not much welcomed. Hence, non- verbal communication becomes a crucial way where a husband and wife understand each other without speaking directly amid family members. It requires each to be present in the moment emotionally for the other, alert.
Even though we have seen AbhiN and AK using it on multiple occaisions in the past, their reason to use it is different. They started their journey from being strangers where talking openly was not an options. They needed to understand each other without being saying out loud. AK and AbhiN are used to sharing their fears, little happinesses, angers thru it. When AbhiN accepted MK- KV alliance, first thing he wanted to do is to share his happiness with AK, not in words, but through eyes. He wanted to convey his apologies, as he had fought with her over it. But, AK was not avaiable for him. It is emotional unavailability that hurts a partner a lot or rather anyone. Even, kids get annoyed if moms are too engrossed in watching TV and not hearing them out. AbhiN found himself alone in that moment..It will be such instances that will cause him to withdraw more and more each time.
MK- KV romance: It was supercute. I liked how romance was shown to be picked up by AK and AbhiM. They know it. Even though it was not shown as such, AbhiN, Nilamma were not shown picking it up, they were busy fulfilling their jimmedari. They both only laughed at AK's joke later. I was wondering how AbhiN would feel if he picks up MK- KV cute moments? That guy rarely experienced any such thing. I wished he had never met AK. Rather had met a very simple girl within his reach, who would have loved him for who he is.
AK: AbhiM is all about impulse, passion, AK is some impulse, passion, some jimmedari, routineness, and AbhiN is all jimmedari routineness. Hence, part of AK is still with AbhiM, and part with AbhiN. It was very non- empathetic of AK to speak out loud about her marriage today. It gives signal to both AbhiM and AbhiN that she is still emotionally attached to her past, even if that is not the case. Not only AbhiN, but even MK found it hurtful and awkward because MK feels what her Bhaiji would feel. People do get married even before being able to completely move on but with a committment that they will give their 100% to new relationship. The least they do is not say or act in a way that would hurt their current partner, whatever is going in their heart. A person who has loved even once and had a hearbreak knows how it feels to hurt someone who loves you and hence is extra careful and sensitive.
