The clearly missed the plot. But Baa jaisi aurtein are still there in our society, and it is very common not to reply back to those so-called elders.

Adoption is ❤️

and is equal to raising your bilogical child, because you become parents when to a child whether it is biological or adopted. The feeling are pure and genuine. However, still we are not there yet as a society, one example is in my own extended family, they have no kid and they fear to go to India because of all the questions and looks people give them,💔

I have stopped expecting any sensible handling of these topics in itv now.

Anupama has made mockery of women empowerment, husband wife relationship, and what not . Traumatic experiences are shown so casually.

Adoption is beautiful ❤️ ideally this should be encouraged in Indian society specially girl child adoption. But in Anupama it has been sidelined and instead they are showing usual itv "dusri aurat" drama. This is sad.

Baa's character has not been changed since beginning. I so loved BV for its character progression alone specially daadi sa. But not this Surajpama crap. Can't expect anything sensible from this.

Baa jaise aurat exists but that is why Anupama jaisi protagnist who is supposed to be example to all women, should shut Baa jaisi women and stand up against her and protect her adopted kid. Instead she is a doormat who stands silently and watches the abuse and then asks others to respect such vile elders

and after all this, the actress Rupali has the gall to call this a progressive show and example for all woman to follow

So true I had high hopes with dimpy track but then just after some episode she was so warm towards Anuj and other male character I am not saying in wrong way but it takes a lot of time and strength to get over harrasment/molestation. She was raped brutally but here she has no emotional distress no discomfort no trust issues and within months first guy who showed interest in her she is ready to marry him

And behaves so badly with Anupama who saved her life

And so friendly with Anuj and acts like owner of kapadia house and property

They could have showed her from simple family and a girl who is shy and simple and true colours revealed after marriage and then same story hating Anu

But showing a rape victim so selfish and entitled and thankless will have bad impact on public

Also with Maya first they established her as someone who went through so much in young age and Anupama and everyone had sympathy with her

Then turned her into husband chor character less and psycho will stop anyone who wants to help victims of abuse

Thank you for this message

You have summed it up perfectly- “the show claims to break stereotypes but they have ended up just strengthening the already existing social stigma. This is very upsetting.”

Well said! 👍🏼 This show is undoing everything the society has done thus far to progress. Pathetic!! 😕

absolutely! @bold - that was my hope when I first started watching this show. That is exactly how this show could have changed the society.

Now, My blood boils when I hear the actors/PH claim this junk as progressive. Such a disservice to the society.

actors will say anything to promote their show, as it is their livelihood.

But i've also seen n read itv stars calling a spade a spade when needed and calling out the crap shown in their show.

Not applicable here.

Its a desolating thing, bkoz thus us one of the most hyped n watched show. Instead of spreading positivity, showing empowering steps, they opted to marginalise the good n glorify sins.
