Has anyone watched this movie? I have never seen anyone talking about it, but Aamir was so good. The movie was so interesting. I don’t even remember the details now, but I remember it was very good and Aamir’s performance was great. Am I the only one who knows about this movie?

OMG this song was so good, but I had completely forgotten about it over the years after watching the movie. Wow going to add to my Spotify. The movie was dark and so different than many movies. The girl and Aamir acted both so well. Even I don’t remember the movie details lol. I want to watch it again. I think I watched it over a decade ago and was so sad after it.

It's part of a trilogy which the Canadian-Indian director Deepa Metha made (Fire, Earth, Water - all three very good).

Such an impactful movie (The Ice-Candy Man is the book, the movie is based on)...and of course, it's disturbing (like it was also Hey Ram to me)...partition was such a mess relative to humanity.

India had sent Earth also to the Oscars (Aamir's first one, I think), but it didn't made it to the nominations for best foreign film.

I also would recommend Earth (+ both the other movies) but they are in no way mainstream.

Until now I liked very much all Deepa Metha movies I've watched (she made also 'light' ones 😉)
